The Mighty Mustafa

I've been praying the past few weeks. Unsure why.
There's good evidence behind prayer. It mimics breathwork, calming the nervous system, dropping cortisol, and quieting the brain. Daily prayers show lower depression, anxiety, and pain.
I'd like to develop a prayer practice. Growing up, the protocol was written for me. Explaining whom to pray to, the structure of the prayer, and the boundary conditions.
I don't really know how to pray now.

My fellow Sunni Muslims, there is nothing that stops you from educating yourself on Shia Islam. You don't have to agree with everything. You don't have to accept the concept of Imamat, but you must still respect them. The Imams are the descendants of Hazrat Ali R.A. and Hazrat Fatima R.A. They are Ahl-al-Bayt and respecting them and honouring them is binding on you. Hadith of Ghadeer e Khum is significant for Shia and Sunni Muslims, both. The interpretation between both Sunnis and Shias is different, but one thing is clear; Whomsoever considers Imam-e-Qainat Muhammad PBUH as his Mawla, must consider Hazrat Imam Ali R.A. as his Mawla.
There are 5 Roots of Religion in Shia Islam.
1: Tawhid. Common for both Sunnis and Shias. Without it, we are lost. We are not Muslims without it.
2: Adal. Allah is just and and fair, and that all of His laws are just. Again, common for both.
3: Nabuwwat. Common.
4: Imamah. Here Sunnis and Shias disagree regarding wordly leadership, but the Imams are still your spiritual leaders, and Sunnis are still bound to respect and honour the 12 Imams as per the Hadith of Ghadeer-E-Khum. This is part of your faith. The 6th Imam, Hazrat Jafar Al Sadiq R.A. He was the teacher of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Malik Ibn Anas, whom we honour as the founders of two Sunni schools of Islamic Jurisprudence (Hanafi and Maliki).
5: Mi'ad/Qiyamat. Again, common.
Read these 5 points, and tell me, are we really world apart? Or were we divided across centuries? Yes, there is bad blood. But work towards unity. Sunni Scholars such as Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza and Maulana Ishaq called for unity. Maulana Ishaq Ahmed called for unity.
Martyr Syed Ali Khamenei called for unity between Muslims, both Sunni and Shia. Let not his martyrdom go to waste. Stand united or perish to the sword of those who profess Judeo-Christian values from the White House.
We are back in the crusade wars. Christians and Jews don't care about Shia Muslims and Sunni Muslims. They bomb Palestinians (Sunni), Lebanese (Sunni and Shia), Iranians (Shia), Yemenites (Shia) without discrimination.
Unite.
Or die.

This paragraph from Carl Jung hits so hard.
“The world is full of people suffering from the effects of their own unlived life. They become bitter, critical, or rigid, not because the world is cruel to them, but because they have betrayed their own inner possibilities. The artist who never makes art becomes cynical about those who do. The lover who never risks loving mocks romance. The thinker who never commits to a philosophy sneers at belief itself. And yet, all of them suffer, because deep down they know: the life they mock is the life they were meant to live.”

#JesusChrist was sent to save humanity from ignorance & oppression & to guide them to the light of knowledge, justice & servitude to God. He never paused in his fight against evil & in invitation to goodness. This is a lesson for Christians & Muslims believing in his prophethood.
