Basic human decency predates Christianity by thousands of years. Humans had empathy, reciprocity, taboos on murder and care for each other long before the church turned up and tried to claim copyright over morality.

Being gay isn’t a choice but being homophobic surely is.

Christians in 2026 need to realize people are gay and that's 100% normal. Especially here in the America... the supposed land of freedom. You're free to NOT be gay. Others are free to BE gay. That's it. You're not free to tell anyone other than you what they can or can't be.

The funny part about religious fanatics is they ignore the part of the religious books that tells them to help the needy and feed the poor and only focus on the parts that justify their hate for how other people live

What baffles me about homophobia is this: gay people don’t affect your finances, your health, or your progress in any way. So going out of your way to spread hate just means you’re just a horrible person. Also, using religion doesn’t make you less horrible.

1. The gay community isn’t telling anyone they need to go out and be gay 2. The Christian community calls anyone who’s not Christian sinners and if you don’t believe in what they believe in you’re destined for an afterlife of hell. So which group again is the one pushing and forcing their beliefs onto others more? The LGBTQ community who says “accept us for who we are” or the Christian community who only thinks their way of life is proper?
