#VMware#vSAN and VMware #Cloud Flex Storage are two VMware Cloud on AWS storage solutions that offer flexibility and scalability to organizations to manage their growing storage demands. Read about them here: vmware.com/content/dam/di…
@ValaAfshar@Mandivs This is the way… start fresh and see where it takes us. What we learn here can be applied elsewhere with existing infrastructure, or we can decide that the benefit exceeds the cost to rebuild (or not)
As we approach #VMwareExplore , I thought it would be interesting to share some facts about the @VMwareHOL
[Did you know?]
Our labs are created each year by an “army” of 200-300 volunteers from all around VMware
#vExpert
@the_AdamBaum@VMwareHOL I am part of the small, full-time team that started in 2013 to manage the labs all year. Prior to that, it was a 100% volunteer effort, though the labs were only available at VMworld, so the workload was less constant and more, “we have to do ALL if this NOW!”
New Release – PowerCLI 12.7 Even though I use quite a bit of Python these days, PowerCLI runs a lot of our back-end processing for Hands-on Labs and within just about every lab environment. (I was a PowerCLI lab captain at VMworld 2008) dy.si/9qhvZ12
@jaffoneh I don’t think it is just design managers :)
I think everyone can benefit from understanding how much work is reasonable to expect from a given pool of resources.
“Do more with less” is not just throwing more work at the same pool and hoping for the best.
Design managers often focus on ask for additional headcount instead of prioritization & what can get done.
With the resources you have, there’s a cut off line somewhere.
Articulate that, then start discussing how much more *work* needs to be delivered & what that requires.
Talking to people about the “Kubernetes thing.” Like any tool, it has a use case. Not everyone currently has the need for this tool. *AND THAT IS OK*
Be open, understand where it fits, but It is not necessary to MAKE A PLACE FOR IT if it does not make sense for you right now.
