Agreed!! If you live there with your family, your kids go to school and you become friends with other families… you live just like you do in any other country. I’ve lived with my family for several years in three different countries, including the Emirates. I think the soul argument comes from people who go there as a business trip or a short vacation. At the end of the day, people live in places, communities form, they support each other, this is something as old as civilization.

Honest question for the Dubai lovers: How may other countries apart from the UAE and your home country have you spent more than 1 month living in? Just seems impossible to me than anyone who is well travelled would think it’s the best place to live
