On September 4, 2003, three Israeli Air Force F-15 jets performed a symbolic flyover of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
The jets were piloted by Air Force officers with personal connections to the Holocaust, including future Air Force Chief Amir Eshel who was the son of Holocaust survivors.
During the Holocaust Allied aircraft flew over Auschwitz in 1944, and they conducted aerial reconnaissance photographing the camp, and the gas chambers.
Despite bombing raids on nearby industrial targets, the Allied forces did not bomb the camp itself.
Nor did they bomb the railroad tracks which transported Jews in cattle cars to the death camps.
Several Jewish organizations, and the Polish government-in-exile, repeatedly requested these strikes in 1944 to halt deportations.
But U.S. and British military leadership ultimately rejected the proposals stating it was not strategic to the war effort.
Today, Israel has one of the greatest air forces in the world.
The IAF flies side-by-side with American pilots; our greatest ally.
This flyover Auschwitz in 2003 is a stirring and emotional image.
IAF pilots flying in formation descended to 1,200 feet over the crematoria at noon.
They delivered a message of remembrance, and a message of Jewish strength.

Been there (my photo from inside where Hezbollah drilled into solid rock). Hezbollah built hundreds of these tunnels and bunkers along the border under the watch of over 10,000 UN forces supposedly there to prevent it. They filled their tunnels with weapons and rockets. Some meant to conduct an October 7th style attack much larger than what Hamas executed. @KatiePavlich

Why is it difficult (yet necessary) to root out Hezbollah and destroy its terrorist infrastructure, stockpiles, and means of movement? Because this is what they’ve built: sophisticated tunnels - with lighting, comms, and rail transport - drilled through solid rock as deep as 20 stories below the surface. This tunnel near Shtula under the Israel-Lebanon border (aka right under the UN’s nose) was discovered and sealed by the IDF during Operation Northern Shield.

Why do I need a firmware update to use my own living room?
Three years ago, I decided my house needed to be a "smart home."
I spent $800 on WiFi-enabled lightbulbs.
This was a catastrophic mistake.
Yesterday, the internet went out for ten minutes.
My wife tried to turn on the kitchen lights using the physical wall switch like a Luddite.
The bulbs factory reset themselves.
Now they cycle through rave colors while emitting a high-pitched pairing frequency.
I spent my entire Saturday trying to connect my kitchen ceiling to our router using a 2.4GHz band.
I am a 52-year-old man standing on a stepping stool screaming at a lightbulb because my phone can't find its Bluetooth signal.
Tomorrow I'm going to Home Depot to buy $2 incandescent bulbs.
I want my house to be stupid again.

Coming back online after the Passover holiday and reading the extraordinary news, my reaction is this: This was a massive win for the US and Israel; anyone saying otherwise is blinded by TDS or NDS.
Where it ultimately leads — at minimum, a drastic reduction in Iran’s ability to project power or, more likely, a comprehensive resolution of all open issues — we will see in the weeks to come. But America and Israel have never before had this leverage to drive a good outcome and the Iranian regime’s ability to hold on and repress its people has never been weaker.
Congratulations to @POTUS and to all those who led this fight.

@BernieSanders Israel is not at war with Lebanon. They are at war with Hezbollah. The Lebanese either can't or won't disarm Hezbollah. The Israelis have had enough of this Iranian proxy and their missiles. They're responsible for the Israeli action.
