This striking fresco, known as *Fisherman*, was discovered in the ancient settlement of Akrotiri on Thera (modern-day Santorini) in the Cyclades, Greece 🇬🇷. There was far more mixing than we think or know. Not terribly surprised. The purity that so many aspire to (including my ancestors) was always aspirational (or delusional?). The caste system was championed precisely because of this fear of mixing.
