The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has said that in a strike earlier this week that killed the Iranian Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani, Ismail Ahmadi, who headed the paramilitary security force’s intelligence arm, was also killed in the strike. Ahmadi played a key role in the deadly suppression of widespread protests earlier this year.
