This is the agreement you and Riot made together when installing their software. Riot does not have the right, to make it persistent, even after you uninstall it. @Necrit94 If you cannot operate the device as normal due (even if that normal use violates a service agreement) to malicious code, it has been damaged and the perpetrator has committed a crime. This is very simple.

The "Bricking PCs" was literally made up and major media are reporting on it. Riot's PR has to be ripping their hair out.

@dododo372154 @Longlius @crash @riotgames It's not damaging the software though. What actually happens is that the DMA device and IOMMU clash on a very low driver level, causing a BSOD. Removing the card or disabling VT-d in BIOS fixes the issue.

Just because you can repair a tire doesn't mean you can go out slashing tires of people you don't like. Somebody at riot needs to see the inside of a prison cell for a decade or two.

@crash @riotgames It's not even bricking the device. It's detecting it and telling Windows that the device is operating incorrectly which causes Windows to blacklist it. You can reinstall the OS (or do some gnarly registry hacks) to use it again.
