This is one of those tweets that is causing me so much pain these days... I like Harmeet. I think she's a highly talented individual and positive contributor to society. But this is exactly the problem with the mindset of people embracing a "preemptive" approach to war making: There is no limiting principle. ANY war can be justified under this mindset. ANY use of force, for ANY reason deemed preferable, can be justified by this mindset. We debase ourselves and undermine our posterity through callous action in the name of preemption based on preferences of any one individual, even a president. We have rules for imminence regarding war FOR A REASON. Chesterton's fence should not be torn down for your, or your boss's, personal feelings. Iran is a terrible regime. But their threats were not imminent to the United States, nor could they likely be for many, many, years. We have domestic priorities. Our homeland is failing. Wars of choice prioritize the wrong things, and undermine is ALL.

The @CivilRights has gone to court to oppose such restrictions. I personally argued for the US to challenge Illinois’ so-called “assault weapons” ban, which bans popular & constitutionally protected semi-auto rifles & more. As @AGPamBondi says, 2A isn’t a second-class right!

I need to figure out how to love the gym. Need to do some progressive weight training, given my age and gun training goals. I do push ups and other exercises at home. I kind of hate the gym, belong to Equinox but I don’t go.

After a lifetime of viewing exercise as a chore, something changed in me recently. I love to walk. It makes me feel great. I love the results. It’s “me” time, in a life largely spent supporting or advocating for others. It’s my favorite time of the day. Sometimes twice a day!
