I’m done. Going to try Bluer pastures. Same handle. This used to be a fun place to hang out! But my feed has become a cesspool of racists and shills spewing lies, broken up by cheap scammy ads. Can no longer reconcile my morals and patriotism with giving X more eyeballs. ✌️🫥

I think I gotta leave this place. Top of my feed has become a cesspool of racists and shills spewing lies, broken up by occasional ads that better belong on QVC at 3am. Not sure where to go next yet, but this place isn’t fun anymore, it’s just toxic.

@immagigi Gigi these people are voting for Trump. Jill literally is not registered in enough states to win. She is funded by Russia to fracture left electorate. I believe that Kamala is committed to justice for Palestinians. But I don't think anyone outside Israel has control over that rn

Wrote a column about my very serious concern that the robot in Astro Bot isn’t attractive enough for people to enjoy thegamer.com/astro-bot-robo…

@unormal Not what I’m saying but go off. Just saying if you go off what J reportedly said in the book, it’s a pretty straight humanist philosophy. It’s generally compatible with how I feel, if you ignore the ✨ magic ✨ bits.

christianity is good in many ways, but it's obsession with christs advent and revelation, the bounding of the world into a finite and proscribed box, whose lived behavior doesnt matter except for a more real afterworld, is an absolutely disasterous worldview applied to governance

The problem of course is that Red has an institutional advantage. The key is convincing individuals that their votes are taken for granted -- because they are.

It sucks being an NPC in a national election. Feels like someone could make a temporary alliance of hard-blue and hard-red states, all of which currently ignored, to finally kill Electoral College.

@immagigi Ok tweet format: Green Party has been a failure at even local level, there is no theoretical case where she can win, and Green has taken a lot of (including my) money with zero to show for it. I’m not voting for an avatar, I just want gears grinding forward instead of back.

@immagigi Your (and my) state doesn’t count, so fuck it, vote your conscience. Jill is definitely a grifter though.

@xsphi Dropped out of high school to be hired as SWE based on stuff I built. Entered games industry due to stuff I built. Founded companies and raised capital based on stuff I built. It’s not just being a SWE though. It’s more about ability to actually build stuff. Different things.

but in software employers have to compete with employees for their time. building software is dramatically more efficient alone, which offsets a lot of the inherent advantages of capital. 1 unemployed engineer ≈ 1 team's worth of capacity.

In light of the recent allegations, it is important to note that our adversaries do not need to have a specific winner even if they might prefer one or another. They likely fund multiple sides of any argument that most effectively turns us against each other. They benefit from chaos no matter who wins an election.
