Hassett: "The bottom line is inflation is going down at the microeconomic level by a million things we've done, like fix the avian flu so egg prices are down, change beef imports so that beef prices go down, make drug prices more affordable with TrumpRX. But at the macroeconomic level the driving force right now is the temporary increase in the price of gas."

“During my time working with Rick Brattin in the Missouri Senate, I have seen that he is a hard-working conservative who will always stand up and fight on the issues that are important to us, including lower taxes, smaller government, standing up for education choice, and protecting children from woke nonsense." @SAAS1972N @ModestTeacher Aren’t you assuming the classroom is the only place kids are? Seems like it. They are also on buses, the playground, bathrooms, hallways, libraries, pullout group rooms, and more.

@Acyn The two forgot to mention the Great Depression, another catastrophe caused by Biden.

Starting school at 10:00 a.m. instead of earlier times aligns with teenagers’ biology and delivers striking benefits.
A study found that shifting the school day to a 10 a.m. start reduced student illness by more than 50% over two years. When schools reverted to an 8:50 a.m. start, illness rates spiked by 30%, showing just how strongly school schedules affect adolescent health. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has long recommended later start times for this reason.
Beyond improved health, the change also produced clear academic gains: a 12% increase in students making significant progress — the equivalent of 20% of the national benchmark.
By respecting the natural circadian rhythms of teenagers, who tend to be night owls, later start times help students get more sleep, arrive more alert, and perform better. This simple, low-cost adjustment offers a powerful, science-backed way to support both the physical well-being and academic potential of the next generation.

Politics aside… have you ever actually stepped inside Trump International Hotel Las Vegas? 🎰
We drive past it all the time—but walking in? Totally different story.
It’s quietly elite. No casino chaos, just pure elegance. The chandeliers, the gold finishes… it feels like a throwback to classic Vegas luxury. ✨
Fun fact: it was actually designed without a casino on purpose—more of a peaceful, high-end escape from the usual Strip noise.
Despite what some people assume, it wasn’t about losing a gaming license—it was a deliberate choice to keep the vibe different.
Gave me serious old-school Las Vegas Hilton energy—in the best way.
Vegas might be evolving, but spots like this still remind you what made it iconic.

@Jambreman @RickBrattin Yep. Social service and education degrees are toast because the low pay doesn’t justify the tuition costs.
English

@RickBrattin Good jobs? Here's a job from the State of Missouri. Child protection services. Requires a Bachelors. Pays $44k. To protect CHILDREN. Maybe it's not the degree that's shit. Maybe it's the pay. Any job that requires a degree should pay worth a damn.

English

This is common sense. That’s why I am working to end state funding for dead-end, low-earning “outcome” degrees. As sponsor of SB1617, I’m bringing key parts of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) to the Missouri level. Our kids deserve degrees that lead to good jobs, not debt! #OBBB #MissouriFirst

If postsecondary education programs do not leave graduates better off, taxpayers should not subsidize them. @usedgov's proposed accountability framework will drive meaningful change, ending years of regulatory whiplash & addressing student debt that has left students worse off.

Proud to celebrate the historic partnership between the Kansas City Royals and Hallmark to bring baseball and billions in investment to downtown Kansas City. ⚾
