@GRVlagos Not just Lagos. On makurdi, Benue state where I grew up, in the 90s we drank water from the taps. I could still remember fetching water and filling our cans with water running from taps channelled into our compound back then. Funny enough, it was a military regime.

I vividly recall playing football in ISL '1993 after playing, we all take turns to wash our legs, face and then drink water from the tap AND not get sick, there was nothing like boreholes or pure water sachets then. Clean Potable Water was supplied by the water works . Today the people of Lagos island are desperate for water, the very same Lagos Island, Darocha was supplying water through pipes he laid from Iju to Lagos island as far back as 1910. It is time for a Lagos that works for you, A lagos that revolves around maximising your quality of life, from the most basic things like potable water to the more complex such as affordable housing and affordable intermodal transportation. #ourlagos

Most of the kids here in X don't really understand that Nigeria was a giant Nigeria was so wealthy that it was sending engineers, doctors and professionals across Africa and the Caribbean for free. Today, it's reduced to parents struggling to get a branded carton of Maggie and tomato sauce with the photos of the president to feed kids they can't afford If all you know is hot, dirty water to drink, then cold, dirty water is an improvement Some of us drank clean water from a public tap

The African Democratic Congress is appalled by recent reports that only about 7 percent of the Nigerian Army’s budget for security equipment has been released in the 2025 fiscal year. Out of the N336.76 billion approved, only a paltry N16.71 billion has reportedly been disbursed, while nothing has been released for critical logistics such as transport, aircraft fuel, and military barracks. At a time when Nigeria is battling widespread insecurity, this is not just disturbing, it is indefensible. It is yet another example of a government that talks tough on security but fails to back it up with action. Even more alarming is that this disclosure comes as Nigerians confront yet another national tragedy. Reports indicate that over 400 women and children abducted in Ngoshe, Borno State are now the subject of a N5 billion ransom demand by Boko Haram, with a 72-hour ultimatum and a chilling threat that the victims may be dispersed and never seen again if the government fails to act. This is the painful reality of our country today: a country where terrorists feel bold enough to issue deadlines to the state; a country where hundreds of citizens can be held hostage while the government underfunds the very military meant to protect them. The connection between these two realities is direct. When only a fraction of security funds is released, when nothing is provided for logistics like mobility and fuel, and when equipment procurement is delayed, the result is predictable: a weakened security system. And when the state looks weak, those who threaten it grow stronger, with devastating consequences for ordinary Nigerians. Even more troubling is the contrast in priorities. While the military struggles with chronic underfunding, the federal government has reportedly ensured full funding for the luxurious presidential air fleet enjoyed by President Tinubu and his immediate family, even as military aircraft remain grounded due to a lack of resources. This paints a troubling picture of a government that is more concerned with comfort at the top than safety on the ground. A government that releases only 7 percent of security equipment funds, and nothing for critical logistics, cannot claim to be serious about winning the war against terror. You cannot starve our brave men and women in uniform of the tools they need and expect them to defeat a determined and well-armed enemy. This is not just a budgeting failure, it is a failure of leadership. The consequences are clear. Communities remain exposed. Farmers cannot return to their farms. Businesses continue to operate under fear. And now, hundreds of women and children face an uncertain fate in the hands of terrorists. The ADC believes that security funding must be treated as a first-line responsibility. Budgetary allocations must translate into real, timely releases for equipment, logistics, training, and intelligence. Anything less weakens both the morale of our armed forces and the safety of our people. Nigeria does not lack resources. What we lack is the discipline to put those resources where they matter most. The ADC stands with the families of those abducted and calls on the federal government to act with urgency, clarity, and resolve to secure their safe return, while addressing the deeper failures that have made such tragedies possible. The ADC remains committed to building a Nigeria where security is not just promised, but properly funded, carefully managed, and truly delivered.

In the end, Peter Obi's style of politics will be taught in schools. It's not about being tough and desperate; it's about being soft and smart. His good heart, sincerity, consistency, character and trust in God will crown him with victory against all odds. #ZoomTheImage. #PeterObiIsComing #OK2027Movement

Oga I know Peter Obi for more than 22 years now, I even know him more than his aides you’re seeing on social media now. I have never seen a single person that is so intentional about education in Nigeria more than Peter Obi. Even after he left government, he still pay school fees for thousands of people till date. I was able to see the list of people he trains in school one day, my head swelled up, I couldn’t believe my eyes. He supported my education from secondary till I graduated from the university. And if your results are wonderful, you will have a chance to further your education abroad. If you even know the family he is coming from, you will know how important they took education. I’m not watering down the effort Rochas made in education, I’m simply saying that he will tear ACL if you try to compare him with Peter Obi.
Ridwan Oke@RidwanuLlah

Apparently, I know Rochas more than many of them. Most of them are talking about his education strides as Governor. Retards, I’m talking about stuffs he did without politics. Most are just loud for nothing. Carry big phones around but can’t use it for anything but to abuse others

Why is nobody talking about the role Dele momodu is playing in destroying this country This man for all i care could be working for Tinubu While he was in PDP he was one of the people that discouraged them from zoning the ticket to south thereby making Peter Obi leave and Atiku took the ticket thereby breaking the party from inside He’s currently doing thesame thing in ADC, its time we call him out and let him unmask himself

Peter Obi is the Best I have read those who do not know the qualities required of transformative leadership try to put Peter Obi down on the basis of degree type. This people do not know that real education starts after university. The genius of great political leaders is what they learn outside formal schooling. Peter Obi is very insightful, better than many first class people i know. A Nigerian First Class in economics does not know much about running an economy unless he has read more books on economic development, policy and history after degree. I do not have a formal economics degree but i am knowledgeable on economic policy because i have read a lot of economic policy books. In fact, some of economists friends claim i have a bigger library of economics than all Nigerian departments of economics I have interacted with professors and practical men and women of business. Oftentimes i find the practical men and women of business more informed about public policy than professors of one thing or the other. I have a doctorate degree from a famous school. But I have read more books after my doctorate. I am better informed not because of my doctorate degree but because of consistent efforts to learn and learn. Peter Obi is a student of leadership and governance. He knows more about economic and social transformation than many first class and doctorate degree graduates because he reads and listens to those who know. I know this because reading and learning are my lifelong commitments, and I have listened to Peter and many PhDs and he comes out far more informed than them. Today, Peter Obi has better knowledge of Nigeria’s economic and social crises and commitment to transforming the Nigerian condition than many first class and doctorate graduates. Peter Obi is the best.
