Kernel panics because a vendor's security software had an update. Dudes use ebpf instead of a fucking kernel module, I'm pretty sure that most of the data you get can be done with ebpf without crashing systems.

Same old story. Dude that has been in the company for a million years thinks he is untouchable. He gets relaxed, then gets axed.

Claude 4.6 Opus just refactored my entire codebase in one call. 25 tool invocations. 3,000+ new lines. 12 brand new files. It modularized everything. Broke up monoliths. Cleaned up spaghetti. None of it worked. But boy was it beautiful.

@SlabbedWorks It is an aggresive strategy, similar to the one I am using. With the addition of $IAU. I was not aware of $O, thanks for that!

@donkeysharp My strategy is to buy growth ETFs and stocks until I am 50. Then sell most of it and buy dividend real estate ETFs like $O to retire. I won’t sell any of my $QQQ and $VOO even if the market crashes. But I am not buying more this year.

All the ETFs I know are heavily invested in tech. But it’s so scary to buy non-tech ETFs. What should I do? 😭

I work with multiple clients and AI helped me do things faster. I can spend more time with my baby, read, do things that I consider funny. I enjoy writing technical stuff on my blog, even though I don't publish most of what I write. Is it worth making written content nowadys? 🤔

I have a homelab of multiple servers and said, let's upgrade properly, no reinstalls, old-school way. So far so good, it would have take me more time to reinstall and having all my personal services deployed as containers, helps a lot! Doing something new is always fun.

I really started working with servers when I started working with AWS, I was a 24/7 Linux user before that though. I'm a practitioner of treating servers like cattle, so moving to the latest version of a distro meant replacing servers with the latest, no actual "upgrade" process.

On my laptop when a new major version of the distro I use (Debian) is released, I usually reinstall and run a personal automation to have everything the same. In terms of look and feel, installed apps and settings, it's always the same due to this automation. It takes 1 hour tops
