Canada is not a democracy. It's not even a free nation anymore. How could it be when Parliament is sidelined for eight months, allowing the executive branch to reign unchecked? Or when foreign interference is ignored and elections are gamed? Or when courts rule that the government broke the law and nothing changes? Or when the state controls your speech, your property, your energy, your news, your guns, your healthcare—and offers you assisted suicide when the wait times get too long? Canada has become something else: a managed oligarchy with democratic trappings, where the individual exists to serve the state. Look how far Canada has fallen. Because this could be America's future overnight.

Not every referendum must be triggered by citizens, the questions she is putting forward address the "firewall" proposal which can only strengthen Alberta and build the infrastructure that will make a future referendum more successful BECAUSE some of the heavy lifting has been put in place...Look at the long term, not the short term.

Let me paraphrase. She heard us loud and clear at the AGM. She heard us loud and clear again when she toured the province with her "Alberta Next" panel. She's fully aware of the problems herself. She had data to back all her statements. She knows how to solve the problems. She's already started implementing solutions. Now she wants a mandate from the population to continue implementing the solutions. She has a mandate through her majority government. She could wait a year and seek another mandate in the next federal election. She could trigger an election earlier. Instead, she's seeking a mandate through a referendum... a process that is normally triggered by citizens. Did I miss anything?
