I don’t think enough people realize what Train-to-Earn actually means. For the first time, you don’t need to own a robot, build hardware, or have a PhD in robotics to participate in the robotics economy. You just need a laptop. Here’s why this matters 🧵 1/ Traditional robotics is expensive. You need hardware, sensors, warehouses, engineers, and millions of dollars before a robot can become useful. That means only a handful of companies get to shape the future. Train-to-Earn changes that. 2/ Instead of collecting data with physical robots, projects can generate training data in simulation. Contributors from anywhere in the world can help train robot policies remotely. And they’re rewarded for their work. 3/ Think about what happened with AI. Millions of people contributed data, labels, evaluations, and feedback that made models better. Robotics is heading down a similar path. Except this time, the work is tied to the physical world. 4/ This creates a completely new type of digital work. Someone in Singapore, Brazil, Kenya, or Vietnam can contribute to training robots that may eventually operate in factories, warehouses, hospitals, or homes. Geography becomes far less important. 5/ The bigger picture isn’t just earning rewards. It’s democratizing who gets to participate in one of the world’s largest upcoming industries. The people helping train robots today could help shape how robots behave tomorrow. 6/ We’re still incredibly early. Projects like @axisrobotics and @InvLambda are already exploring this model, and it’s exciting to see ecosystems like @base backing teams building at the intersection of AI, robotics, and crypto. The robotics era won’t just belong to hardware companies. It could belong to anyone with an internet connection. Agree?
