We also discussed potential opportunities and challenges for the future. Walking Toronto waterfront on rainy day yesterday. Both sewage treatment plants were bypassing sewage to Lake and stormwater sewage overflows were discharging. Water was murky grey with visible plastics floating. We need to do better protecting our ecosystem & drinking water.

Todays clean up in Taylor Creek Park: 77 volunteers, 50 bags of garbage removed, thousands of pieces of plastic and styrofoam prevented from reaching our lakes and oceans. With: @UofTTrashTeam @PortsToronto @swimdrinkfish @TRCA_HQ
