The whacky decision of the RBA to hike 3 weeks ago looks even more whacky with the new data. Throw in the sharp falls in petrol prices & the path to low inflation - in target - is all but assured in 2024

@DaveTaylorNews Gas and electricity prices will decline. Probably quite soon. For the other items, prices are unlikely to decline, but their rate of growth will. And that means declining inflation.

It is rather bizarre. They had home ground advantage, won four tosses in a row, undeniably had the best of the batting conditions for the first three tests and only managed to scrape one win in the third test with 3 wickets remaining after Australia lost Lyon to injury.

I’ve never witnessed a Test series where a team claims moral victories as actual victories and then blames morality and weather while constantly and confidently saying they are the better team… it’s a bit farcical now… and embarrassing for that team and their leadership.

@Tipsterrr When it stops raining, it'll take up to an hour and a half for it to drain and for the ground staff to mop up before a ball can be bowled. So any gaps in rain of less than 2 hours is likely to be not helpful.
