i don’t usually do this, and i definitely didn’t run it by the compliance team, but i saw another company try to do this and i think it’s a bigger deal this time around tbh cause their "tracking" was just a progress bar that never moved. i’m not coming to you as doola right now. i’m coming to you founder to founder. i can’t keep this bottled up anymore. ​i once replied, "it's processing!" when someone asked for an update. i’m sorry for being vague but i was just as much in the dark as you were. but then i kept reading. and rereading. and i realized something. ​ ​you weren’t being impatient. you were trying to run a business with zero visibility into the one thing holding everything up. but still, there was nothing i could do about the IRS. feelings of helplessness devolved into an obsession with transparency. ​i learned that we have control over the information we share, even if we can't control the government's speed. so, i took control. ​​ a few weeks ago, i barged into the product team’s office and demanded we show EVERYTHING. i wanted a step-by-step timeline. i wanted to see what's finished, what's in progress, and exactly what’s coming next. ​i told them we need estimated completion dates and clear "next steps" right in the dashboard. product was lowkey stressed about the complexity, but when i showed them your comments, they got persuaded. ​​ anyways, today’s the day. i did it for you. no regrets. you all got what you wanted. ​the new formation & EIN tracker is live in your dashboard today. ​was the wait worth it
