APC’s PRIMARY NUMBERS DON’t ADD UP AND NIGERIANS SHOULD ASK WHY The numbers coming out of APC’s recent primaries are raising eyebrows for all the wrong reasons. According to figures released by the party, 14,002,661 votes were cast nationwide during the exercise. But here’s the problem: APC’s own membership register lists just 6,531,205 members. That’s more than double the number of registered members voting. In a sane political environment, that kind of gap doesn’t get glossed over. It gets questioned immediately. Let’s be direct. If you have 6.5 million people on record as members, you cannot credibly produce 14 million votes without an explanation. Either the register is outdated and incomplete, or the voting process was inflated. And if it’s the latter, then we’re looking at a rehearsal for something bigger. This isn’t just about internal party housekeeping. It’s about what it signals for 2027. When a party that controls the federal machinery can report turnout numbers that exceed its own membership by 7.4 million, it creates a dangerous precedent. It tells Nigerians that figures can be manufactured, and that the process is secondary to the outcome. In countries where elections are taken seriously, this would trigger an independent audit, parliamentary questions, and civil society pressure within 48 hours. In Nigeria, it risks being waved away as “party matter.” But it’s not. Party primaries are the first step in the electoral chain. If they’re compromised at the source, the general election inherits that compromise. The call here is simple: Nigerians cannot afford to ignore this. Civil society, opposition parties, INEC, and the media need to press for answers. How did 14 million people vote in a party with 6.5 million registered members? Where did the extra votes come from? Were non-members allowed to participate? Was the register padded? Was the result inflated? If APC wants to be taken seriously as a democratic party, it owes the public a clear explanation—not spin, not deflection, but numbers that reconcile. Because if we let this slide now, we’re telling every political actor that it’s open season on data. And once you normalize inflated figures at the primary stage, you’ve already laid the groundwork to rig the main election without firing a shot. This is the moment to push back. Every Nigerian who cares about 2027 being credible should be asking the same question: where did the extra 7.4 million votes come from? Silence now is permission for worse later. Open Letter to Mr. Peter Obi on the APC Presidential Primaries and the Future of Nigeria Dear Mr. Peter Obi @PeterObi, Nigerians watched the APC presidential primaries with shock and growing concern. Across many states, videos showed counting processes that appeared chaotic and questionable. Citizens watched figures move from 1, 2, 3, 4 to hundreds and thousands with no visible credibility or transparent verification. Yet the ruling party announced almost 11 million votes for President Bola Tinubu. What disturbed many Nigerians most was the claim that President Tinubu scored more than 43,000 votes in Anambra State, your home state. This is the same Anambra where APC performed poorly during the 2023 general election and where President Tinubu reportedly scored less than 10,000 votes. Nigerians are now asking serious questions about how a government presiding over inflation, hunger, unemployment, insecurity, and economic suffering suddenly became several times more popular in a state that has historically rejected it politically. The issue is not merely about APC internal politics. The issue is credibility. The issue is public trust. The issue is whether Nigerians are being gradually conditioned to accept inflated figures as normal political culture. Many citizens believe these primaries exposed a dangerous mindset within the political establishment. Numbers no longer appear to represent actual human beings. Electoral figures increasingly look like political theatre designed to create an illusion of overwhelming dominance before the real election even begins. This is why many Nigerians now see these primaries as a warning sign for 2027. If figures that many citizens consider unrealistic can be announced so confidently during party primaries without public scrutiny or institutional consequences, what assurance exists that the general election process will be credible? Mr. Obi, millions of Nigerians supported you because you spoke constantly about transparency, accountability, competence, and responsible leadership. Many of those same Nigerians are now asking difficult but necessary questions. What exactly is the opposition’s strategy against electoral manipulation ahead of 2027? Will there be legal action where evidence of irregularities exists? Can INEC be challenged through the courts to implement stronger transparency measures before the next election cycle? Will opposition parties unite early enough to resist institutional intimidation and result manipulation? Will Nigerians only hear speeches again or will they finally see organized political resistance, voter protection systems, legal preparedness, and coordinated grassroots mobilization? Many Nigerians are worried because this situation goes beyond one political party. It touches the survival of democratic credibility itself. A democracy becomes weak when citizens stop believing that numbers reflect reality. It becomes even weaker when institutions appear comfortable with obvious public skepticism while expecting unquestioning acceptance from the people. The danger is clear. When citizens lose faith in elections, frustration grows. Cynicism spreads. National unity weakens. Political apathy increases. Eventually democracy becomes nothing more than a ceremonial exercise where outcomes appear predetermined long before votes are cast. Nigerians are tired of recycled promises. Citizens want to see preparation, courage, coordination, and strategic action before 2027 arrives. This moment demands more than silence. It demands leadership. Yours sincerely, A Concerned Nigerian Citizen

So an ADC faction just picked Dumebi Kachukwu as their own Presidential candidate for 2027. There's a faction floating Atiku. There's another faction floating Amaechi. This is the nonsense you people wanted Obi to stay back and "fix" 😂

@ukayasiegbu @UnkleAyo @PioneerDavatar Since you have made reference to "ndi Igbo", let me now inform you that the Igbo tradition frowns against a man sleeping with another man's wife. To the best of our knowledge, the woman was not yet separated from her husband when this affair happened.

The second unnecessary hot take I'm dropping on the Frank-Sandra-Chike polyculic trifecta. Women have taken weeks to elevate Chike (cheated on his girlfriend with another man's wife) into godlike status, While stripping their fellow woman of the same honor. Interesting to see.

Shettima cried like a baby on TV, blamed GEJ for every corpse and attacks in his states. Tinubu clocks 3 years, situation has worsened Now suddenly it’s “governors’ responsibility.” Shameless, spineless, forgetful liars. Nigerians have the receipts.
