@chantalbraganza When my daughter was about 2 she pointed to the top of the stairs (upstairs lights were off) and said “what’s his name”? I was already booking the removal men when I realised she was talking about the small spider on the banister 😱

My brother called me today He needed €500 for his little son surgery “Of course, we’re a family” I said Then, I sent him a loan agreement, with 5.3% interest, and 12-month repayment schedule “Are you serious, my son is in the hospital now” he called me back angry I told him the European Central Bank doesn’t lend without terms, and neither do I He hung up and borrowed from our mother instead She didn’t even ask for collateral That woman has zero financial literacy You can’t just give out loans without proper documentation

@AllisonPearson Can you spell out exactly how you think Easter is being "erased"?

Britain has a major religious festival called Easter, the most important date in the Christian calendar. The civility and success of our country was built on Judeo-Christian values. We will not stay quiet if Easter is erased to appease a minority.

If your Faith feels undermined by chocolate box branding, diverse TV adverts or 8 mins of public prayer at a 2 hour interfaith event, then it isn’t your Faith under attack, it’s your sense of control, your discomfort with difference, and your understanding of what Faith really is

Britain has been a Christian nation for over 1,400 years. Through wars, plagues, and countless kings, Easter has always been celebrated. Yet now, Cadbury won’t even use the word ‘Easter’ on their eggs. When did celebrating British traditions become controversial?

@SteAssent I'd quite like a little period of "precedented times". No pandemics, world wars, orange autocrats. Just some boring foreign affairs and maybe the odd sleaze scandal in government to keep the tabloids busy

He took the greatest military force in world history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, and demanded that the media lie about this and everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone can mistake this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength. His weakness is something negative, gravitational, so deep that it can draw in a whole country. But only if we fail to see it. Only if we let it.

Now that I’ve watched this interview I feel our national interest and security are in safe hands. And I can see why we strike fear and terror into our enemies, from the Kremlin to Tehran.

@Helen_Fields @louistheroux It is the same phenomenon we've seen recently with Mr Bates Vs the Post Office and Adolescence. Good TV finds a way to cut through to a large chunk of the population, and then MPs jump on it.

Absolutely sick to death of hearing about how the new @louistheroux documentary has made people think about attitudes to women. Lots of MPs jumping on the bandwagon. I mean, no disrespect to Louis - I’m grateful for the highlight - but for God’s sake… Women get killed by their partner every week. Tiny Man Tate has been a thing for years. Domestic violence shelters are overwhelmed. Women have been waving the red flags about incels and attitudes for years. We’ve been begging for change. We’ve been highlighting the serious threat of anti-women social media. Then a MAN makes a documentary and suddenly everyone’s interested? Do you not all think that this might be part of the problem?
