“People might ask ChatGPT how to descale a coffee machine, but they won’t trust it to find them a partner, manage their finances, or navigate their kid’s anxiety.” What will we let AI do? That’s where consumer AI startups still have an edge. In their latest post, “Against the Final Boss,” M13's @annawbarber and Céline Vendler break down why it’s not “game over” for founders and where we think the most valuable, most human consumer AI companies will be built. Building something personal, social, or high-stakes in AI? Let’s talk. Read the post here: substack.com/inbox/post/169…

In a world full of performance, it’s easy to forget who you are without the title, the task, or the applause. But your worth isn’t in what you produce. It’s in who you are when no one’s watching.

There’s a BIG problem with SaaS homepages… … and most companies are guilty of it. (Including me at some point! 🥲) I used to follow the old way of building homepages: 1️⃣ Spend months debating messaging. 2️⃣ Add every possible feature to the page. 3️⃣ Make the design “look cool” first. 4️⃣ Hope it converts. Slow. Bloated. Ineffective. Here’s the thing… Most people have false beliefs about homepages ↓ ❌ “We need a super creative design to stand out.” ✅ No! 90% of high-converting homepages follow a proven structure. Your messaging, branding, and product visuals make you unique. ❌ “We have to explain EVERYTHING on the homepage.” ✅ No! A great homepage builds curiosity to motivate someone to sign up and discover everything for themselves. ❌ “It has to be perfect before launch.” ✅ No! You need to ship, test, and iterate — perfection is a moving target. That’s why I swear by frameworks. Why? ✔ You go live 10X faster — without sacrificing quality. ✔ You don’t waste time on fluff that doesn’t drive conversions. ✔ You keep it simple, so you can tweak and improve easily. Custom, overly designed homepages might feel impressive… But they rarely perform better. The best SaaS homepages follow a battle-tested structure — And I put together a step-by-step framework you can use 👇 Want me to audit your homepage? Comment your website URL below — I’ll show you what’s working and what’s holding you back.
