This aggressive clamping down of information adds to the disturbing pattern of far left leaders in our state working to keep the public in the dark. In 2023, when Ferguson was Attorney General, he championed HB 1333 which would criminalize free speech and independent under the guise of "domestic violence." Fortunately, outrage from the public and Legislative Republicans defeated that horrible bill. In 2025, Legislative Democrats voted to shut the public out of the budget process. The results of that budget included the largest tax increases in state history, $782 MILLION being cut out of Medicaid, and a spending spree (SB 5167). In 2026, multiple journalists are being denied their press passes in our state capitol, while budget battles including the Income Tax are raging. The public has the right to know how well their state government is performing.
