The “corporate tax loophole” he is referring to is Proposition 13, beloved by California homeowners. He wants to stop corporations that own lots of real estate from benefiting. But a) that can’t be changed by decree; b) it would threaten Prop 13 itself; c) and wouldn’t raise $22b
Tom Steyer@TomSteyer

Teachers don't get paid enough to live in California. On my first day as governor, I'll close a corporate tax loophole and raise $22 billion to fund services like education.

Oh no, the campaign provided free bbq, tacos, and ice cream... I bet tomorrow's LA Times will have some kind of hit piece about how that's a bad thing. Or the Hollywood Reporter, or Vanity Fair, or... whoever.
Derrick Johnson@4derrick

Had a great time today at @spencerpratt Block Party in the Hyde Park neighborhood in South Central Los Angeles, the campaign provided free bbq, tacos and ice cream. Spencer spoke with residents one on one to learn how he can best served their community.

Nobody is telling you how FUCKED New York City's infrastructure actually is right now. Everyone is watching the flood footage. The cars underwater. The subway stations turned into swimming pools. Nobody is talking about the fact that six inches of rain just paralyzed a global city. Not a hurricane. Not a once-in-a-century storm. Six inches. In a few hours. And the Long Island Expressway shut down in both directions. The F train suspended. Flash flood warnings across every borough. By rain. → Cost of fixing this: deferred for decades → Cost of not fixing it: the entire city grinds to a halt → That is not a weather problem. That is a maintenance problem. NYC's catch-basin cleaning fleet was 63% out of service during prior storms. By end of 2023 it was 77% out of service. The city had 19 functional trucks for five boroughs. Nineteen trucks. For eight million people. 💀 Here's what nobody is explaining to you: This doesn't just change THIS storm. This changes ALL storms. Forever. → NYC has 7,400 miles of combined storm and sewer pipes that back up the moment rainfall exceeds capacity → Many of those pipes are over 100 years old — built before cars existed, let alone SUVs and modern runoff volumes → Fewer than half of the city's 964 priority catch basins were inspected before recent storms hit → This exact same thing happened in 2023. And 2025. Same expressway. Same subway lines. Same excuses. → The city knows which drains are clogged. They have a data-driven priority list. → They just don't have the trucks to clean them. → So every time it rains hard, the same streets flood, the same trains stop, the same headlines run. → And then nothing changes until the next storm proves it again. The source tweet said it directly: "Six inches of rain shouldn't do this to a major city, but clogged drains and years of deferred maintenance will." That's not a weather forecast. That's a confession. New York spent decades deferring the maintenance bill. May 21, 2026 is what the invoice looks like. Bookmark this. You're watching the biggest infrastructure failure since the last time it rained. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

Wow, @SenDuckworth just said it plainly. She wants us to go dozens of miles to a big city like Atlanta to the VA just to spend hours there and be told they can’t see us. Only then can we go to a community care doctor in our own town. She doesn’t care about us, she cares about protecting government jobs at the VA. Sickening to watch this after we’ve fought so hard to get quality, competitive health care in our own communities. Thank you @SecVetAffairs for standing up for us!

Holy crap. Two days into the Palisades & Eaton Fires, this was filmed. We know that there were many firefighters who answered the call to come back to work but didn't have rigs to go out on. Here's why.
Film The Police LA@FilmThePoliceLA

@KarenBassLA Before the fires you CUT the fire dept budget & ELIMINATED 58 mechanics positions. I went to the LAFD repair yard 2 days into the fires. Rows of trucks waiting to be repaired. TWENTY PERCENT of LAFD apparatus was broken down. That equipment could have saved lives and property.

This was Chevron’s response to the left’s stickers blaming President Trump. Chevron is letting customers know in California that it’s not Donald Trump causing the insane gas prices in the state, it’s California Democrats. Chevron just added these new signs to their pumps, educating customers, “Sacramento policies did this. Now you pay more.” “California politicians are choosing foreign oil and fuels over local jobs and lower costs.” Companies willing to educate the public and tell the truth. It’s Gavin Newsom and Democrat policies causing a $6.30+ average cost per gallon in California.
Tony Seruga@TonySeruga

Homeless meth/crack addicts are placing these labels all over Southern California gas stations pumps. After 4 days of interviewing a number of these ‘day workers’, verifying daily cash to a reloadable prepaid debit card with VISA Network, my retired FBI forensic accountant followed the breadcrumbs in an effort to identify who was funding the cards, ultimately leading to Arabella Advisors Network via half a dozen LLCs.

And this changes EVERYTHING about what service means. 🚨 JOEY JONES JUST GOT REENLISTED INTO THE MARINE CORPS BY PETE HEGSETH. THIS ISN'T A CEREMONY. THIS IS A STATEMENT SIGNAL. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth personally administered the oath to Staff Sergeant Johnny "Joey" Jones in the Pentagon Hall of Heroes on May 20, 2026. Marine Corps Reserve. Fourteen years after a medical retirement. By a man with no legs. Let that sink in. THE PROBLEM: → Jones lost both legs in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, 2010 — after voluntarily transferring to EOD and disarming more than 85 IEDs → The 86th one ended his active-duty career → He was medically retired in 2012 — the military said his service was complete → For 14 years, he built a civilian life: Fox News host, veteran advocate, public face of the post-9/11 generation THE REENLISTMENT: → Jones walked back into the Hall of Heroes and raised his right hand again → His words: "I'm doing it because I have a debt left to give… It means the world to me to be here to finish the story that I started writing twenty-one years ago." → Hegseth called him "the kind of man who puts his country, his fellow Marines, and something greater than himself first" → Reenlistment is into the Marine Corps Reserve — not a PR photo, a legal oath 💀 He didn't have to do this — he had a career, a platform, a life most people would call more than enough 💀 He chose EOD in 2010 specifically because it was the most dangerous job available — that choice cost him both legs 💀 The military medically retired him — he was done, by every official measure 💀 He came back anyway ⚠️ 2005 — enlisted out of high school in Dalton, Georgia ⚠️ 2007-2008 — machine gunner, Al Anbar Province, Iraq ⚠️ 2010 — EOD, Helmand Province, Afghanistan — 85 IEDs disarmed before the 86th ended it ⚠️ 2026 — back in uniform They're showing you a reenlistment ceremony. They're NOT showing you that you don't voluntarily return to the institution that medically retired you → unless the debt you feel is real → and a real debt means the story was never finished. You don't walk back into the Hall of Heroes for a photo op. → You walk back in when something inside you never left → and something never leaving means the retirement was only ever on paper. Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨 Follow and turn on notifications.

Let’s get my position on the Republican Party crystal clear. I’ve been a registered Republican since Bill Clinton turned the Oval Office into his own personal brothel. Now that Senate Majority John Thune refuses to protect election integrity, I am disgusted with my party. I will NEVER vote for a Democrat in my life, but the RINO elements destroying the Republican party are a disgrace. I am a devout follower of President Trump, and as a registered Independent will continue to vote with Republicans when they stand behind this great President and act like Republicans again. Democrats, the ragtag band of con artists and grifters that they are, manage to work together in lockstep, but getting Republicans to accomplish anything is like herding cats. It’s absolutely infuriating.

Today I Voted For @SteveHiltonx For Governor, And Why You Should As Well Two conservatives are running for governor — but in my opinion only one has a chance to make the runoff. @ChadBianco is a great guy and would have been a good Governor. But we have to focus on making sure the GOP is not locked out of the race. open.substack.com/pub/sodoesitma…

when the 94’ earthquake hit in Los Angeles we had a republican governor, a heavily trafficked freeway overpass collapsed and had to be rebuilt. They finished it in 66 days They delivered the project 74 days ahead of the deadline. Newsom is either lazy or inept or both

🚨 LYDIA MOYNIHAN JUST DROPPED A RED PILL TRUTH BOMB ON THE SENATE RINOS “Republican voters want elected representatives who will actually follow through and deliver on Trump’s agenda. Paxton offered to drop out if Cornyn pushed for the SAVE America Act… even that didn’t do the trick.” BOOM! The America First base is SICK of the fake tough talk and zero action from establishment hacks like Cornyn. Paxton tried to give him an easy out, and the RINO still refused to secure our elections. Voters are DONE.

Confused by Chad Bianco's allegation that Steve Hilton is taking $ from Democrats? I break it down here. It's disgusting that Chad has sunk to the level of making this accusation, and accusing Californians who support Hilton of being paid to share their opinion on social media, and insinuating that Steve Hilton has some tie to Jeffrey Epstein because one of his former co-workers mentioned his name in an email to one of Epstein's buddies. Chad is a law enforcement officer, as he tells us every time he opens his mouth, but because he is threatened by Hilton he lobs unfounded allegations and insinuation about him. Is that the kind of person you want as a sheriff or a governor?
Jennifer Van Laar@jenvanlaar

Not taking it that way😊and happy to discuss it - I'd much rather have this type of interaction with my fellow Republicans than anything antagonistic. It's a donation from Democratic Action, sponsored by the Dem Governor's Assn, to an Independent Expenditure Committee named "Greater Golden State, Opposing Hilton for Governor 2026, Sponsored by Organizations Opposing Republican Candidates for Governor." I think they deliberately used an extra confusing way of structuring the committee name to cause problems. You can see how they changed the name of it - at first it was more generic, then they added the "Hilton for Governor 2026" thing. But they have to have the word "opposing" in there or they'd run afoul of FPPC rules. They also formed it late enough in the cycle to where they haven't filed a full Form 460, which would give us more information about the people who formed the org. But I was able to reverse search the phone number on one of the filings: (202)772-5600 - which is the Dem Governor's Assn. So it looks like this is all DGA. The other screenshot people are sharing... it looks like a contribution to Hilton because of the way the committee changed its name so that the "Hilton for Governor 2026" shows up as the recipient. But the recipient is that full committee. It's super confusing - by DGA design.

I have said many times it is an ASSET that Hilton’s family history includes escaping communism in Hungary and Socialism/Islamification in the UK. This is just icing on the cake 🎂
Kira@Kiradavis

I was shocked to hear @SteveHiltonx share his story of his family's connection to famed economist FA Hayek and some pretty big liberty orgs in this nation. Sir Anthony Fisher was a WWII pilot who was disillusioned by Britain's turn to socialism after he fought for freedom. When he returned home, he contacted FA Hayek to ask about fighting socialism. Hayek encouraged him to start battling in the arena of ideas. Fisher moved to America and founded The Manhattan Institute and @PacificResearch Institute. That man was Hilton's grandfather-in-law. Hilton's family has been on the forefront of liberty thought since the '50s. "Before you can change the politics, you have to change the ideas."

Joel Pollak: For Spencer Pratt to win in LA, he needs to go straight after union members, starting with struggling actors and writers in Hollywood. LA elections are dominated by public sector unions. They have the money, the machine, and the voter turnout infrastructure that decides most races. As an independent (and registered Republican), Pratt's best shot is to break that grip. Hollywood has shrunk by 30%. Actors, writers, and below-the-line crew are out of work thanks to terrible city leadership. Pratt can win with: Your unions are failing you. I’ll fight to bring the jobs back.
