@colorsnapper Got it, requesting a refund now. Not sure which version I upgraded from but I'll try the version from the site instead. Thanks. :)

@dpatrickhays 1. what version did you upgrade from? 2. the App Store version won't be updated anymore so I'd return it and purchase directly from the web-site.

@colorsnapper I updated from an older version of ColorSnapper > prompt asked me to purchase or use trial > I ignored prompt and purchased from App Store directly > App Store page for Color Snapper now spins forever and never seems to download. Ideas on how to resolve?

@sketch Is there a reason why the global color palette cannot be edited or am I missing something? I just setup InVision's Craft DSM for my company's color palette, but it'd be much easier to edit the global colors in sketch (imo), but it doesn't seem possible. ☹️

I love this article from my friend @cassiemc: medium.com/swlh/why-are-t…. If you are in a position to hire (or influence how hiring happens on your team), this is full of ways to improve the process for you and your candidates. Finding a new job is THE WORST, but we can do better.

@lozzd @gmail No joke. The promotion tab has been an absolute game changer in terms of how I consume my personal email, and it seems like a natural part of the gmail interface at this point.

You don't realise how many spammy promotional emails you get until your "Promotions" category stops working in @gmail and suddenly your inbox is full and your phone won't stop going off

@joeshoop @andybudd I notice that behavior in Sublime, but found it was never very intuitive and I still have to explicitly look for the icon to check the save state (i.e., it is not obvious). However, I do love how Sublime will persist any changes on close but not auto-save them.

@andybudd It looks like official Apple apps don't do it, but Photoshop and Sketch do, as well as Sublime Text, and I'm sure more.

If you were going to create a brand new “save” icon today, what image or concept would you use?

@Symless Any idea when version 2.1 (and key remapping) will drop? Love the simplicity of not having to set server and client in 2.0, but the remapping gap is a bit painful right now.

@UXBooth My knee jerk reaction was to complain as others are, but I think this does a pretty good job of providing some visual structure to the amorphous concept of UX. What UX means can vary so much from org to org and this at least starts to capture some of that complexity.

These sites work well because people have learned the interfaces over time and they become easier to navigate and use. Amazon is a great example. Their UX is generally pretty awful, but you use it so much you get used to the overwhelming amount of content and clunky design.

uxplanet.org/when-good-desi… An interesting article that I think highlights something I'm not sure UX Designers acknowledge. One important point the article seems to overlook is not the power of simplicity necessarily, but the power of *consistency*.

Just found this from a summary post from InVision. Wish I had seen this sooner.

invisionapp.com/blog/personas/ Holy crap, somebody finally said it, and so well! Thank you @christhelwell. Personas can be a nice reference point, but if they aren't based on actual research from your population of users then they seem like they may cause more problems than they solve.

@colorsnapper I would love a more robust feature set for favoriting (and saving color palettes). Three issues: 1) I accidentally unfavorite colors frequently, 2) I completely lost my all favorites recently (no idea why), 3) I need more favorites!

@notdetails Fantastic points! I've come to view my role as a UX designer as a conduit for the needs of our users and the needs of the company. I believe our job is to find the right balance in our designs, and understand when it is critical to go to bat for the user. Compromise is key.

@InVisionApp It is the same URL, but with all the additional tracking stuff that's added in for your e-mail campaign. I checked the e-mail link again and the video plays to completion now. Not sure what the issue was but thanks for checking.

@InVisionApp Getting an "Application Error" in Firefox mobile and Chrome (desktop, OSX) whenever I try watching the video for InVision V7. I followed the link from my e-mail. Trying to troubleshoot further but entire InVision site struggling.

@sketchapp I am attempting to set the border per side of a shape as you can with CSS and it doesn't seem to be possible (outside using shadows or an add-on). Any chance setting borders per side will be a native feature to Sketch in the near future?
