A panel discussion on “Land, Works & Environment for Operational Effectiveness of Defence Forces” was conducted at the #CDM. Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (#TASA), held meetings with key dignitaries in Amravati/Vijayawada to discuss Military Civil Fusion and enhance synergy between the State and the Indian Army. The General Officer met Shri S Abdul Nazeer, Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and discussed nation-building and the Indian Army's initiatives in community development, disaster management and security matters. Maj Gen Misra also met Shri TG Bharat, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, to discuss support and mentorship for the defence industry ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. The GOC discussed security-related matters with Mr Harish Kumar Gupta, IPS, Director General of Police, and issues related to Ex-Servicemen (ESM) welfare and ECHS with Mr G Sai Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary. The meetings with various dignitaries concluded on a positive note, aimed at strengthening cooperation and collaboration between the military and civil authorities.

A three-day Defence Management Capsule for officers of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan was successfully conducted by a delegation from the #CDM, Secunderabad, at the University of #MilitarySecurity and Defence, Tashkent, under the India–Uzbekistan Annual #DefenceCooperation Plan 2025–26. The programme covered key comtemporary topics of Management in Defence. The delegation also interacted with Ambassador Smita Pant, Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan. Discussions focussed on the Indian Army's supportive role in the state with a new Headquarters at Amaravati and locating forces at the Vijayawada-Guntur cluster. Discussion centred on synergy of State and Indian Army, disaster management and security initiatives, with special emphasis on Ex-Servicemen welfare. Hon’ble CM appreciated the Indian Army’s humanitarian assistance & disaster relief operations (HADR mission). During the Opening Address, Dean, FAE, MCEME, addressed the Agniveers & highlighted the immense responsibility entrusted to Aviation Technicians of the Corps of EME in ensuring that the #IndianArmy’s helicopters remain airworthy & mission-ready in peace as well as during operations. The Agniveers have commenced specialised training for the Cheetah, Chetak & Cheetal class of helicopters of #ArmyAviation. Chief of the Air Staff flew an operational formation sortie on the MiG-29 UPG from a forward airbase today. Led by Flt Lt Parvinder Singh, the formation executed a precise smart peel-off manoeuvre over the runway. As part of the International Women's Day celebration, a Placement Drive for Veer Naris & Dependents of ESM was organised by the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (#AWPO) under the aegis of HQ Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (#TASA) at Golden Palm Sainik Bhavan, Secunderabad. AWPO, in association with MAGIC BUS, Wipro & Factset and a total of 26 companies, conducted 536 interviews. Shortlisting of 323 candidates to include 35 Veer Naris / Women and 228 Dependents candidates by 26 various sectors, Pvt / MNC companies, shows tremendous response and success of the event.
