The FAIMA–Review Medical System (FAIMA-RMS) survey, conducted across 28 states and union territories with over 2,000 participants, exposes a deep and systemic crisis in India’s medical education framework. The voices of students, teachers, and professionals—from AIIMS, PGI, JIPMER to institutions in remote regions like Andaman & Nicobar—reflect a unified message: our medical institutions are in urgent need of structural reform. The data is both revealing and disturbing. A staggering 73.9% of respondents report excessive clerical workload, 55.2% face staff shortages, 40.8% work in toxic environments, and 89.4% believe poor infrastructure compromises education quality. Furthermore, the lack of functional skills labs (only 44.1%) and absence of fixed working hours (only 29.5%) point to a glaring failure in academic and administrative planning. Despite the recommendations of the 2024 National Task Force—including fixed duty hours, mental health support systems, and structured wellness measures—implementation has been dismal and largely superficial. This disconnect between recommendations and real-world action is unacceptable and continues to endanger the quality of medical education and the well-being of future doctors. FAIMA demands immediate, measurable action from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the National Medical Commission. We urge policymakers to treat this data not as a report, but as a call to responsibility. The future of India’s healthcare depends on how swiftly and seriously these systemic failures are addressed. We will not accept silence. We expect solutions. @ANI @PTI_News

Deeply concerned over the tragic deaths of children in Madhya Pradesh linked to a cough syrup. Urging the Hon’ble Health Minister to form a Central Expert Committee for an impartial investigation, nationwide testing of pediatric drugs, and strict action against negligent manufacturers. At the same time, ensure protection of ethical doctors — no wrongful arrests or harassment until facts are scientifically established. Strengthen coordination between CDSCO & State Drug Authorities to prevent such tragedies. Every child’s life matters. Accountability, transparency, and reform are the need of the hour. @PMOIndia @narendramodi @MoHFW_INDIA @JPNadda

Congratulations Medical students , Doctors and beloved silent public “Maharashtra govt” has brought something for you that you could never imagine Now you don’t need to do MBBS to become an registered medical practitioner You can just simply opt Homeopathy from any near by college , complete it and register yourself for a CCMP (certificate course in modern pharmacology) and boom you can work and prescribe modern medicine readily replacing the original ones who cooked whole Their life to get the MBBS seat ! What’s more surprising is how the homeopathic practitioners who should practice their own medicine and build patients on faith of their own are now protesting to allow them to practice modern drugs which is not even part of their pathy This MIXOPATHY is going to prove fatal for the healthcare of the country !

“On behalf of FAIMA, I extend full support to the strike on 18th September 2025 against the government’s decision to allow homoeopaths into the Maharashtra Medical Council after completion of the CCMP course. This move is unacceptable, dangerous to patient safety, and a direct attack on modern scientific medicine. For the first time in recent years, all major medical associations have come together on a single platform to oppose this illogical decision. This unity shows the seriousness of our concerns. We demand the immediate withdrawal of this decision, failing which we will be left with no choice but to escalate our agitation to a national-level strike. Our fight is for the dignity of the medical profession and the protection of safe, evidence-based healthcare for every citizen.” @PMOIndia @MoHFW_INDIA @narendramodi @JPNadda @Dev_Fadnavis @AjitPawarSpeaks @FAIMA_INDIA_ — Dr. Akshay Dongardive President, FAIMA

MARD English version As a resident doctor and representative of the medical fraternity, I respectfully express my concern regarding the recent notification by the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) about registering CCMP-qualified doctors. I have the highest respect for every healthcare worker and their contribution to society. However, MMC registration has always been reserved for those who have completed MBBS and higher recognized medical qualifications as per national standards. Allowing short-term course candidates the same registration may create confusion among patients and reduce public trust. *It is in the best interest of the public that those who study a particular pathy of medicine should practice only in that pathy.* In the larger interest of patient safety, medical ethics, and the dignity of the profession, I humbly request the MMC to kindly reconsider and withdraw this notification. This appeal is not against any pathy of healthcare, but is solely intended to preserve public trust and uphold the standards of modern medicine. – Dr. Akshay Dongardive National President,FAIMA Maharashtra MARD Advisor @PMOIndia @narendramodi @JPNadda @MoHFW_INDIA @Dev_Fadnavis @AjitPawarSpeaks @abitkar_prakash @mrhasanmushrif @FAIMA_INDIA_ @CentralMard @BmcMard

MMC registration must remain only for MBBS & higher medical qualifications. Those who study one pathy should practice only in that pathy. We humbly request MMC to withdraw the CCMP registration notification. @JPNadda @Dev_Fadnavis @CMOMaharashtra @abitkar_prakash @mrhasanmushrif
