@FrUgochukwu Every man to his faith & believe. I was raised a Catholic, crossed over to Pentecostal after marriage. After 15 years, my soul was empty, no fulfillment in Christ.Last year, I went back to the Catholic Church, received Holy Communion & have been like a new born child ever since.

A few months ago, a lady made this post: “If you want to have a close relationship with God, the Catholic Church is not the best place for you.” She used to be a Catholic.
Yesterday, this same lady shared that after months of exploring other churches, she has finally found one that meets her spiritual longing. For that, I sincerely thank God with her. When it comes to matters of faith and religion, every person is free to choose, because there is a deep quest for God written in every human heart.
That said, what troubles me is turning a personal experience into a general conclusion. I am a Catholic, not simply because I was born into it, but because I have chosen to live it and the Catholic Church has profoundly deepened my relationship with God.
Through the Holy Mass, where Christ gives Himself to us in Word and Sacrament; through the Blessed Sacrament, where we encounter Jesus truly present; through the Sacrament of Reconciliation where I encounter the mercy of God; through the Scriptures, prayers, and the rich spiritual tradition of the Church, many of us grow daily in intimacy with God.
The lady's problem (like many others) is that she simply inherited the Catholic faith from her parents without making efforts to own it. It is not enough to be born Catholic; one must make the effort to become Catholic. When that effort is made, the Church is not an obstacle to encountering God - it is one of the deepest schools of communion with Him.

They’re cute.
But you see tall girls? They’re made for the elite. There’s a reason runways and luxury brands prefer tall women. Height has always meant elegance, command, and attention.
It might not be fair, but nothing is touching the tall queens. I’m sorry.

Petite girls are the best type of girls.

Last night in the ER, I walked into the room of a 4-year-old who had come in with a fever and rash. Before I could say a word, she handed me this piece of paper.
She had been waiting for hours, not feeling well, and instead of doing what most of us do when we’re sick (complain, withdraw, or scroll), she chose to make a thank-you card.
The most remarkable part? She gave it to me the moment I walked in, before I’d heard her story, before I’d examined her, before I’d done anything at all. She just wanted to say thank you for being there.
Toddlers and preschoolers may be small, but they are the kindest people we have around.

my friend asked if i have any tips for designing a less lonely life
(of course I do!!!)
tips:
> get off your phone when you're in public - be present and approachable. the micro-interactions will bring you more joy
> say yes to invitations even when you don't feel like it - ESPECIALLY then
> build third places into your life where you're a regular: weekly coffee at same spot, monthly dinner with friends, regular fitness class
> stop planning for async hangs and find ways to build a recurring life around connection
> proactively find events & communities in your area and GO to them!!
> exchange numbers when you vibe with someone and ACTUALLY follow-up!!
> be the person who initiates - stop waiting to be invited to things
> take on new hobbies. it'll be an unexpected place to find new connection & you'll get to do something you love
> remember it takes effort to build the life you want. remind yourself of your agency!!
what else would you add??

Dr of pharmacy- pharmacist
Dr of optometry- optometrist
Doctor of medicine- Medical doctor
Dr of physiotherapy- physiotherapist
Dr of dentistry- dentist
Dr of philosophy in nursing- still a nurse
This means the highest degree awarded in ur scope of study it doesn’t change the title of ur profession. After using DR in ur name make sure to add optometrist to it to avoid confusion. The problem is, most of u don’t.
These are the issue. Or when being asked, make sure to call the actual profession not medical student.

i don't know who needs to hear this but your ability to create the reality that you want is directly determined by your willingness to experience its opposite.
- saving money will have you feeling broke while it's actually making you rich.
- setting boundaries will have you feeling alone while you're creating new healthy relationships in your life.
- digging up your trauma will have you feeling broken while it's actually healing you.
- working out has you feeling weak while it's really making you strong.
- learning something new makes you feel dumb while it's making you more intelligent.
your ability to attain the thing that you want is directly correlated with how willing you are to experience its opposite. you have to be ok with being uncomfortable to truly achieve success!

It is only when doctors comment to clarify their roles and explain how this is a patient safety issue (with examples), that they start switching the conversation to "Drs are always fighting".
Always so funny. But the gaslighting actually works on some doctors. They genuinely believe that their colleagues who are pointing things like these out are jobless "fighters", why they are somewhere doing the important work.
You may not be interested in healthcare politics, but healthcare politics is very much interested in you.
