@d_georgie @drabaker2014 Yea, the kids were drinking underage and assaulting one another. I think everyone should be held accountable. Not just Raul. I said I was happy with the outcome because I think he was overcharged and should’ve been charged as a minor. I have great sympathy for James family.

Every kid engaged in the fight should’ve been charged imo. The fact they’re throwing the book at Raul when so many engaged in the dumb behavior that caused this tragedy is part of the issue in our justice system. #raulvalle

@MarcusC52806303 @CourtTV The jury could have convicted on manslaughter which would have been a significantly lower sentence. Nobody wins here, but a kid being beaten and stomped by 10+(drunk) people shouldn't have been the only one charged. The prosecutor overcharged.

Guilt or innocence should be decided by facts — not by how harsh the punishment feels. The moment a juror thinks, “Well, life in prison seems too much,” they’ve failed their duty. That’s not justice — that’s cowardice. If the evidence proves guilt, the punishment is irrelevant. Letting someone walk because the truth feels uncomfortable? That’s a broken system.
