SAY NO TO VIP CULTURE ★★★★★★★★★★ Following the FIR registered against doctors at Swaroop Rani Hospital, #Prayagraj, there is growing resentment among the medical fraternity. ACCORDING TO REPORTS , the injured woman lawyer had come for treatment, but people accompanying her allegedly demanded VIP priority and immediate treatment on the basis of being lawyers & making vedios , leading to misbehavior and physical confrontation with doctors. According to the Medical association, the doctors were already engaged in treating other critically ill patients while working through a continuous 36-hour duty shift. They also claimed that CCTV footage of the incident is available. The President of the Allahabad Medical Association warned that if the FIR against the doctors is not withdrawn, doctors from both government and private sectors may be compelled to suspend services and go on strike. A government hospital belongs equally to the poor and the rich. Doctors prioritize treatment based on the severity of the patient’s condition and established medical protocols not on profession, influence, or social status. #MedTwitter

@Indian__doctor It is high time the old Hippocratic oath is modified slightly to meet the need of the time and to check the rot. All medical associations should resolve that such rogue elements as have no compunction in attacking the healers will not get the benefit of same healers anywhere.

LAWYERS V/S DOCTORS! A dispute broke out between lawyers and doctors at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in #Prayagraj. According to reports, a woman lawyer injured in a road accident was brought to the hospital for treatment. An argument allegedly erupted after lawyers demanded urgent treatment for their patient, leading to a heated exchange with doctors that later escalated into a major confrontation. During the chaos, lawyers allegedly vandalised parts of the hospital premises. As news of the incident spread, more lawyers gathered at the hospital and created a ruckus, further intensifying tensions on the campus.
