@NightShiftMD My sister was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma at the age of 38. Took 2 months after diagnosis for her to be offered treatment. Immunotherapy wasn’t covered and too expensive. She passed away 9 months after diagnosis. Friday would have been her 48th birthday.

Feeling something was off a bit off, a doctor went to see his own GP. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer ctvnews.ca/health/article…

Following today’s attack in Australia, our thoughts are with those affected and the communities impacted. We will be providing additional resources to ensure safety in the community, including the menorah lighting tonight at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Synagogues, Jewish schools and community centres will also have added police protection.

I say this as someone for whom this is my profession: elimination of a disease is not the same as eradication. When a country has eliminated measles, it means that cases still occur, but do not result in SUSTAINED ongoing outbreaks, because vaccination levels are high. [1/3]
