I never liked databases as an idea. You literally send a string query over TCP to postgres and it returns you data over tcp as strings. There is so much potential to make this whole thing better …. but everyone seems to be just fine with it.

Kenneth is the second participant in Neuralink's "VOICE" clinical trial. He received the N1 chip implant in January 2026 after progressively losing his ability to speak due to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Unlike previous updates where patients used their thoughts to move a computer cursor, Kenneth's implant is intercepting brain signals associated with the intent to speak. The 1,024 electrodes in his motor cortex capture these neural patterns, which are decoded into phonemes, combined into words, and spoken aloud by a computer. In a deeply personal touch, the output voice isn't a generic robotic synthesizer. Neuralink trained the system using audio recordings of Kenneth from 2020, before his ALS diagnosis. His wife, Cheryl, refers to the synthesized audio as "Original Ken," returning his natural voice to him. The technology is still in its investigational phase, but Kenneth is reportedly able to converse, control digital tools, and edit videos entirely through thought.
Neuralink@neuralink

ALS is a disease that takes everything. Our goal is to give something back. Kenneth, who has been losing his ability to move and speak due to ALS, is exploring how Neuralink’s brain-computer interface technology can help translate neural signals into life-changing impact.

I just discovered a video of my first piano concerto performance with an orchestra! Recorded in 2001 when I was just 15, this is the incredible "Warsaw Concerto" from 1941 by English composer Richard Addinsell. I thought this footage was lost until now. Enjoy this masterpiece! 🔥

Time was on Iran’s side. All it had to do was hold the line. Why did they agree to ceasefire, now Israel feels it can slaughter Beirut without repercussions. 5 desalination plants stood between Iran and absolute victory.
