@PaddyG96 Start a channel in a niche from the bottom up 1️⃣horror ❌ 2️⃣horror movies ❌ 3️⃣deleted scenes that got cut from horror movies ✅ Starting at the top is too saturated and much harder to stand out, sub niche down and then work your way back up as you grow

Long term I think this will average out for creators earning more money. The more ads YouTube can show the more money they make, but currently I agree it’s a bit of a mess. I find leaving half to one second breaks at the end of natural section ends in videos is currently the best spot to place midrolls

I spent 20 to 30 minutes playing with youtubes new ad system. @TeamYouTube your system is whack as hell and I couldn’t get a single ad to place during silence or on natural breaks that I tried to purposefully implement for this change. Instead, it actively incentivized me to place ads MID SENTENCE. So either I screw over my audience or I screw over my income. 20/10 system.

@heymike The best way to do this is to end your videos with a rehook that teases another video on your channel, do this over and over to thread multiple videos together. Help create much higher session time and a more loyal viewer

Add cards and end screens that link back to other content, drive traffic to other videos or websites, and encourage people to subscribe.

@JenMarieVO So it was a week of the bug, week it was fixed then another week of the bug? I’m currently going on 13 days so hopefully it’s fixed soon

Sadly no insights whatsoever! It bounced back up for only seven days before plummeting down again. I tried disallowed video embeds across all videos, disallowing shorts remixing/clips, and I even privatized all my shorts because a few had gone viral.. but nothing must have worked since it came back after one week. And keep in mind most of my traffic is from YT Search and Google Search. 🫨

I am almost speechless. After a brief recovery from the alleged #invalidtraffic to my YouTube channel and revenue returning "somewhat" back to normal for only SEVEN days (after a 70-80% revenue loss due to dramatic RPM drop from March 26th-April 20th), my channel has been flagged with IVT for the FOURTH time. FOUR times in 9 months. I have nearly half a million subscribers across both of my channels. I feel cheated and really sick to my stomach at how myself and other Creators have been treated over the past year. We are not contributing to this invalid traffic. We are not clicking our own ads or watching our own videos on repeat. We are not asking our subscribers to do so. We are not paying for views, likes, or traffic. @TeamYouTube is messing with our livelihoods and it's really appalling. Creator Support sends articles on "how to prevent invalid traffic" even though we do not do any of these things. I am honestly just speechless. @YouTubeLiaison @YouTube @YouTubeCreators

@Greg42999149512 @devoncnp use 1of10.com to find outliers in your specific niche, take an idea that a small channel used that blew up, make it better. ex: I got 10 people to play xyz game, Turn that into I got 100 people to play xyz game. Copy thumbnail strategy and title strategy. Boom
