As a piece of gaming hardware the Xbox Series X is immaculate. Genuinely one of the best looking, well performing and expertly designed consoles of all time. Bring the cost down at least a little so that more people can enjoy it.

Can we all agree, this game would have been one of the greatest Halo games of all time.

@lastchalice I know everyone wants to “glaze” Halo 2, an the story is top tier. However, Halo 3 is the top of the mountain. The story isn’t as good, but everything else is far superior. The marketing, the music, the sandbox, the multiplayer, and the features……it has not been topped since.

Honestly? 3.5/10 Obviously this isn't to hate on people that DO like Halo 4. If you do, all power to you! I just have a strong negative opinion on it considering it's the sequel to my favorite game of all time. Off the top of my head: The good: + Graphical fidelity is impressive, given that it's an Xbox 360 title + Some parts of the soundtrack are okay + You get to fly a Pelican without doing an easter egg + Visor customization is a step up from Reach The bad: - The art style is awful. Been talked to death, but virtually EVERY aspect of the game's visual presentation is hellishly overdesigned - Sound design is mediocre in some places, bad in the rest. Battle Rifle sounds like crickets - No dual wielding - Master Chief talks WAY too much - Forerunners not being Human anymore is a terrible change - Captain Del Rio - Prometheans aren't fun to fight. A bullet sponge enemy thats able to get resurrected, teleport up to you, and 4-frame one hit melee you from off screen is, surprisingly, frustrating - Rampancy is changed from Marathon-style metastability to less interesting AI schizofrenia - The Mantis is sluggish, feels like Titanfall gameplay at 0.25x speed - Grunts don't speak English anymore :( - Legendary is annoyingly difficult, not fun difficult - Quick-Time events - There's like 3 million buttons, and they all use the same exact animation - Weapons run out of ammo too quickly - The MP announcer's voice direction is way too over the top for my taste - Sprint in general, but also the fact that it's always available and not a selectable ability - Spartan Ops is repetitive and a slog. On paper it's a great idea, but in execution it's not - Infection has forced Flood player models and weapons - The main menu is too cluttered - Power weapons can be called in anywhere in the map at anytime - Loadout system means that everyone can spawn with a DMR and Boltshot Overall, it's probably my least favorite of the modern Halo games. 5 at least has some unique mechanics going for it, and Infinite looks better. 4 is just Reach but worse. It gets at least a 3.5 because at the end of the day, you're still the green dude shooting aliens.

@CryptumZetaXV @rockisinfinite While I don’t want to see more of them, they grew on me and even just their hologram in Infinite felt cool to see. They weren’t a bad idea at all, just a poor execution.

@Frozenbaugh The car isn’t paid off yet. I’d rather have a lower payment and one bump every 3 years with no real need for anything other than simple maintenance (which I fight to get added to my vehicles for free). However, a kitchen and bathroom remodel is scheduled.

@drewmike6 That's my biggest fear. Every car has the point of no return where it just starts costing you. I'm afraid we pay for these repairs and then something else happens when we pull into the driveway.

We have to get a water pump installed in our Toyota. It's an older vehicle but pretty low mileage (for the age). We were on the fence because the repairs are not cheap. Then I saw car prices and became apoplectic. Also, I hate car payments. How do people afford cars?

@briancarloj GOG, Emulation and High Seas if I must. Steam will let me backup, copy, mod, and play the game thru any launcher. Also, they are far better when it comes to customer support than anyone else. This online check is a service issue, and a burden shouldn’t be placed on consumers.

@justahaloguy With all things 343…it was either amazing or boring. I remember playing the second mission and seeing it open up and it looks amazing. Then the forerunner halls were all so boring and dull. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Based purely on aesthetics and visualization, Halo 4 is one of my favorite Halo games.

@ValyrianFPS your score is about the same as mine. Gunplay wasn’t as good, antagonist wasn’t good, levels weren’t memorable, etc. I feel you.

PlayStation support has confirmed that a new digital rights management policy for the console is intentional, not a glitch. Starting with any digital games purchased after the March 2026 system update, your PS5 will require an internet connection at least once every 30 days to validate the license. If the console stays offline longer than that, the games simply will not launch until you reconnect. This change does not affect any titles already in your library. Setting a console as your primary system also will not bypass the monthly check-in.
