@DavidEdgington Unfortunately, I've seen the "soft radicalization" through churches. The reasoning to the husband is, "You just need to love your wife". First, they never define biblical love. Second, the husband is emasculated, so he essentially gives up. Third, the wife slowly takes control.

Husbands here is something crucial to understand. I speak to many men whose wives turn into unsubmissive revilers. The wives were not that way when they first got married. So what happened?
Usually the wife gets radicalized into feminism by a sister, by her mother, or by the busybody ladies she hangs with. Often it’s a bitter woman who is divorced & wants to make sure your wife goes in the same direction. And then eventually, she does.
Guard your homes men. Be a godly leader & make sure that those who influence your wife are not actively seeking to tear down your home.

Wives are to obey their husbands. They are called to do so even if their husbands are not loving them well. The only exception would be if that husband is calling his wife to violate the clear commands of scripture. Other than that, she is called to obey her husband as unto the Lord. In the same way husbands are called to sacrificially love their wives even when their wives aren’t respecting & obeying them. A marriage isn’t a quid pro quo relationship. It is a sacred covenant wherein both parties are called to die to self and fulfill their marital duties even when the other partner isn’t fulfilling theirs. This is Christian relationship 101
