@drewsweettweets
are we not drawn onward? we few? drawn onward to new era?

— The Ladies' Home Journal, September 1948

“If you think about the people who you think are the most admirable in the world, the people you respect most, those people will reflect the sun, and will show you your own purpose in life.” Wonderful. I made great progress when I turned out the inner critic and found it was a jury of people I did not admire, and then I repopulated it with people I do. Then they weren’t a panel of jurors or even critics, but guiding mentors, rooting me on; we had a common purpose.

The existence of 'AI slop' implies the existence of 'Human slop'. Oh. Oh no. Oh no no no

@HellenicVibes The Frasier Greentext is about how even the lowest of us, the most excluded and outcast, can LARP our way back--to become beautiful, to join again into the fellowship of man

@drewsweettweets I have an article on this, hahaha. But the gist is that the Sun is the best part of you (the soul), what you're meant to be (dharma/duty), and it is very much the innocent part of you that feels hurt when you betray yourself. shri.li/blog/2024/08/0…

@agentpinkk @Isopodde1 Simone Weil writes about this. Sometimes you are hurting people and blind to it so you have to be hurt bad enough that the innocent part of you can finally cry out, “Why are you hurting me?” Only then can you heal. Only then can you be angry at yourself properly, repent properly

you have to hate yourself enough to start making changes
