Additional raw footage from new angle. 👇 This woman is U.S. citizen traveling with her young daughter—according to witness who filmed video. She could not prove her citizenship to satisfaction of the agents—and was violently taken into ICE custody. San Francisco Airport

"American elections are for Americans." No one disagrees with that sentence. The question is what standard Americans are required to meet and whether that standard is achievable for the Hoosiers already verified under Indiana's working system. Indiana already has one of the more robust voter ID frameworks in the country. Banks helped build that record. The SAVE Act goes past it into federal proof-of-citizenship mandates that the National Association of Counties estimates will cost $510 million per election cycle with zero federal appropriation to cover it. Eighty percent support for voter ID is not eighty percent support for eliminating mail voter registration, online voter registration, DMV registration, and church registration. It is not support for criminal liability on local election clerks who miss a documentation step. It is not support for a bill Trump said guarantees Republicans never lose for fifty years. Common sense means reading the bill, not just the title.
Senator Jim Banks@SenatorBanks

Over 80% of Americans support voter ID laws. The SAVE America Act is common sense and we need to get it done!

ICE disappeared woman from Utah airport despite legal papers—now been deported. "Why are you arresting me? I am here lawfully!" she yells. "But agents said they 'did not care about that.'" Other travelers stand around airport as she's dragged away—despite no uniforms or ID. ICE then transferred her around the country to 7 different detention centers—over 3 months before finally deporting her. Marta Brizeyda Renderos Leiva said that conditions in the ICE detention centers were unbearable—and the smell of mold made people sick. "The beds next to the walls get wet, the blankets get wet... A lot of people get sick and they don't care or do anything for us," she explained. Her 4 children are all U.S. citizens and cannot afford to travel to El Salvador to visit her. She said her only wish now is to return to Utah in time for her children’s graduations in May.

The President of the United States learned that Robert Mueller had died. And he picked up his phone and typed: “Good. I’m glad he’s dead.” I need you to stop. Put down whatever you’re doing and feel the full weight of those words. Good. I’m glad he’s dead. Said by the man who holds the most powerful office in the history of human civilization. The office of Washington. Of Lincoln. Of Roosevelt standing in the rubble of Pearl Harbor promising a nation trembling in the dark that we would rise. That office. Those words. Now let me tell you who Robert Mueller was. He did not have to go to Vietnam. He had every reason not to. A Princeton degree. A blown-out knee. A future waiting for him in the comfort of civilian life. He waited a full year for that knee to heal, just so he could serve. Let that sink in. He walked into hell when other men were running from it. He came home with a Bronze Star for heroism and a Purple Heart soaked in the blood of his sacrifice. He spent the next four decades standing in the breach, as a prosecutor, as FBI Director, as the man who held this nation together in the smoldering ash of September 12th, 2001, when we were all afraid and we needed someone steady, someone serious, someone who loved this country more than he loved himself. He was all of those things. He was a Republican. He was, by every honest measure, an American hero. And the President danced on his grave.
