Would you accept this job? Had an interview last week. First one in months. Here's some of the questions: Them: Do you have any experience with tractors? Me: Yes, I have one at home with a front end loader and have run a bobcat before. Them: But do you do your own maintenance on it? Me: Yes Them: But do you have any experience with chemicals and treating landscapes? Me: Yes, I have a 40 gallon sprayer to treat everything at my house. Them: Have you ever operated a chainsaw before? ME: Yes, I have been safely cutting and splitting my own wood for personal use for 20 years. Them: Do you have any experience in building maintenance? Carpentry work? Drywall? Plumbing? Electrical? Me: Yes, I just spent 7 years at a restoration company where I started at the bottom doing demo, then worked my way up to a foreman position with an average per job cost of $125,000. Them: What if there is something you can't do? Me: That's fine, part of my foreman position was dealing with subcontractors and government inspections so that's easily something I can handle. Them: ok, what is this tool inside this case? Me: Those are calipers for extreme accuracy measurements, I also have those at home. Them: This job will require a lot of you working on your own and handling everything yourself. Me: That's fine, do to labor issues and the company operating a four million dollar budget just in my department, I have worked extensively alone. Them: Great, we would like to offer you the job, it's 28 hours a week, no benefits, no company vehicle, but it does pay $15 an hour. 🤯🔫
