@Alpaca_Capital This is from the only interview I have had in 3 months. I started at a place in 1998 when I was 16 @ $7.25, which is about $14.50 an hour now. 27 years of working now means nothing. x.com/i/status/20357…

Would you accept this job? Had an interview last week. First one in months. Here's some of the questions: Them: Do you have any experience with tractors? Me: Yes, I have one at home with a front end loader and have run a bobcat before. Them: But do you do your own maintenance on it? Me: Yes Them: But do you have any experience with chemicals and treating landscapes? Me: Yes, I have a 40 gallon sprayer to treat everything at my house. Them: Have you ever operated a chainsaw before? ME: Yes, I have been safely cutting and splitting my own wood for personal use for 20 years. Them: Do you have any experience in building maintenance? Carpentry work? Drywall? Plumbing? Electrical? Me: Yes, I just spent 7 years at a restoration company where I started at the bottom doing demo, then worked my way up to a foreman position with an average per job cost of $125,000. Them: What if there is something you can't do? Me: That's fine, part of my foreman position was dealing with subcontractors and government inspections so that's easily something I can handle. Them: ok, what is this tool inside this case? Me: Those are calipers for extreme accuracy measurements, I also have those at home. Them: This job will require a lot of you working on your own and handling everything yourself. Me: That's fine, do to labor issues and the company operating a four million dollar budget just in my department, I have worked extensively alone. Them: Great, we would like to offer you the job, it's 28 hours a week, no benefits, no company vehicle, but it does pay $15 an hour. 🤯🔫

@JohnDParody Sub prime & extreme lower mortgage standards played a massive role in the 2008 market crash and led to an estimated 40% to 50% of new home construction companies going out of business. Which in turn, cut new house production to 1930s levels. Is that immigrants fault as well?

So, the housing shortage was mostly because illegals were scamming the system and buying houses en-masse? Cheap housing coming?

@sissipher I agree and also don't feel like the questions really align with what they are looking for, unless high school kids really do know all that stuff.

@perry_pga A good amount of decent tee shots, but also really had to battle from anything under 80 yards. A lot of lower lofted irons on those shots today.

It’s 2009. You fell asleep to Golf Channel’s recap of Tiger’s win at the Buick Open. You wake up at 2am to yelling. “WHAMM!!” You could gain 50 yds. You fall back asleep, wondering what kind of tee that was. Somebody told you about Twitter, but you haven’t downloaded it yet.

@Top100Rick Was just thinking about putting a 50 spot on him to win. Eventually his 2026 "Come from way behind strategy" will pay off. 🤞

Is it time we start worrying about Scottie Scheffler? Hasn’t won in 3 events. 3! He’s barely top 20 this week at the half way point He’s been very angry. If he goes another week without a win, may be time for some swing tips from social media.

@DivotDoctrine Under armour = I assume you are a high school sports coach Malbon = I assume you have more money than common sense. Show up dressed in this, I'll assume your money is so old, it's growing white hair. 😂

Nothing bad, but I haven't found an adjustable TaylorMade wood that I can hit well, but I do play TaylorMade irons. I have had someone give me a shaft for a driver that was a decent shaft, but it was so stiff I couldn't ever square it up. Had to swap out before I killed someone. Seems Wilson irons are always overlooked. They look great and have exceptional results. Thanks for the reply and hopefully we'll be back out on the course soon. 🥂

I don’t like to talk bad of things I don’t like but can tell you in general there was a shaft I hit that was incredibly bad for me and was so shocked I was ordered if I was hitting defects. On the good side the Cobra 3DP MB are exceptional irons with forgiveness in this size a head I’ve never experienced before. I also can’t say the Wilson CB and XB surprised me but I’ll be playing those a lot this year simply because I hit them really well.

@PGAPappas , tough question but gotta ask. Out of all the equipment you have tested, is there any one of those items that just really surprised you? Just left you shocked at the performance of it? Can be good or bad. 🥂

Is this new information? I have been told for probably 20 years that all manufacturers do this. Manufacturers will do this to their own shafts or sell old ones to other companies. No one really believes they are getting a $300/$400 shaft with the new driver they just bought from Dicks do they? Isn't this how Kirkland got famous with their golf balls? Re-painting old TaylorMade balls?
