@Ash08976453 @HannahEDaly @UCC I was similarly horrified when I visited one of the new Pret a Manger cafes in Dublin recently. All single use items and no waste segregation at all. I won't be going again.

@HannahEDaly @UCC Disgusted to see Fallon & Byrne cafe on Exchequer Street serving their coffee and food ALL in disposable cups and single use plates, etc. Even McDonald's make more of an effort. 😢 😔 😴.

This is brilliant. 1 million disposable coffee cups saved in @UCC this year. The cafes simply don't provide them any more. The world has not fallen apart - people bring their own cup or put a €2 deposit on a reusable one. Plastic drinks bottles are not sold on campus either.
