yes the "psyop"/"industry plant" framing is clickbaity but that's what you have to do to get attention, another symptom of the same larger problem of stupid shitty tech algorithms

good piece. this truly has no bearing on Geese or the quality of their music. this is just being transparent about how the overall entertainment industry functions in an algorithm-driven world. I'm not necessarily saying it's good, it's just symptomatic of a much larger problem

as i've said elsewhere, the idea of a decentralized, ubiquitous, diverse network of resistance that everyone can (must) participate in is the film's most interesting idea. passing the torch while staying home to play on the phone doesn't totally gel with me because of it.

one reason this sentiment rings a bit hollow (especially as conveyed in perfidia's letter to willa in the final scene) is that the film, in its best moments, problematizes or directly contradicts the idea that the youth are uniquely poised to mount effective resistance.
