@LorraineEvanoff Trump was probably expecting the judges would heap praise on him the same way his sycophants do in the Oval Office.

"Trump likes to hurt people, especially dark-skinned people, and he was bitterly disappointed that he wasn’t going to get to hurt any dark-skinned people in that courtroom. But Trump’s top lawyer, US Solicitor General John Saur, was struggling under questioning from skeptical justices and Trump just couldn’t watch. With his scratchy, unpleasant voice, Saur sounded like a bad movie’s idea of the voice of Satan. But his poorly reasoned arguments met with pushback from the likes of Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, and Chief Justice John Roberts. When the final decision is handed down in June, it was looking like Trump would lose by a vote of 7 to 2, maybe 8 to 1. No sitting president in American history has ever attended Supreme Court arguments. Trump’s attendance raised critical questions by some people. What those people didn’t know was Trump was there specifically to intimidate the conservative judges he appointed into finding favourably for him. It looked to Trump like it wasn’t working, and it served as another reminder that Trump was losing control of everything." Meanwhile, inside Trump’s head open.substack.com/pub/rharringto…

Bondi, Bovino, Lewandowski and Noem. They served. They lied. They flailed. And now they’re political roadkill. An in memoriam for those we've lost in Trump 2.0.

I assume that firing the Army’s most senior officer in the midst of a war and authorizing off-duty GIs to run around base with handguns is Hegseth’s attempt to illustrate for the public the old military acronyms SNAFU and FUBAR.

So it appears that the US Army Chief of Staff, General Randy George, has apparently been fired. One must fear that the general has contradicted Hegseth, and that Hegseth wants someone who follows orders - even when those orders are war crimes. And yes, I am afraid I cannot help but think that Trump is not capable of ending this without looking like a complete loser, and that he will therefore simply make it more and more extreme. One can only imagine where that might lead.

Bondi out. Which of Bondi's many missteps was the final straw for Trump? Was it the failed reprisal prosecutions, the botched release of the Epstein files, or her handling of the Jack Smith docs? ow.ly/sySy50YCwCt

FYI -- Pam Bondi may be out, but her temporary replacement, Todd Blanche, isn't much better. He's the guy who got convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell her cushy deal. In fact, NOBODY trump has is any good. They are ALL rotten.

NEW: Trump told Pam Bondi shortly before his Iran speech on Wednesday night that she would soon be fired. Trump's reasoning for the sudden dismissal comes in part because the President believes Bondi tipped off Eric Swalwell about the FBI’s efforts to release investigative documents related to his relationship with Christine Fang. It is amazing that whenever you ask Trump when something is going to happen, his automatic response is, "In two weeks." When he was asked last year when he would make a decision about bombing Iran, he said "I will make my decision whether or not to go in two weeks." Asked whether Putin wanted to end the war in Ukraine, Trump said, "I'll let you know in two weeks." Asked about drug tariff rates, he said he'd decide "in the next two weeks." Talking about when he'd send our trading partners their tariff rates, he said, "in about a week and a half, two weeks." And this goes back to his first term. In 2017, he promised he'd unveil his tax plan "over the next two or three weeks." He said he'd be rolling out his infrastructure plan "in the next two or three weeks." And in 2020, he said he'd be signing a new healthcare plan to replace Obamacare "within two weeks." Now it's the war in Iran that'll be over within two weeks.

Trump hears that European airlines are canceling flights ... that South Koreans are urgently conserving fuel ... and thinks, "What losers." But these losers have money that oil producers will take, including US oil producers. When world prices rise, Americans pay more too.

The rowing scene in Ben-Hur (1959) is one of the most spectacular sequences in classic cinema, constructed on a massive scale, with huge costs and complex filming techniques, aimed at depicting the harshness of a slave's fate and the mental strength of Judah Ben-Hur. This scene has become an emblem of epic cinema, demonstrating the enormous investment and sophisticated filming techniques of Hollywood's golden age.

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.

Anyone who experienced the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, like I did, is probably a bit hesitant to get too excited about the Artemis II launch today. I truly hope our children don’t have to experience such tragedy. May the Universe welcome them and return them safely home 🙏
