Amidst the government dysfunction and drift all around, soothe your soul with this Plymouth Gin in the Foreign Office’s Map Room. When we win we will once more live in a country where - We are not ashamed of our great history - Every British embassy around the world serves British gin and ignores the government lawyers who say it contravenes public procurement law to do so - We shun the flatpack furniture and esteem beauty like this in public buildings once again Cheers!

A Devon theatre has cancelled Roy “Chubby” Brown’s performance over “inclusion” concerns. Exmouth Pavillion informed the comedian that it had cancelled his performance — part of his “No Offence Meant” tour — as the show “no longer aligns with the organisations long-term strategic direction”. The theatre said that it wants to promote “inclusion, wellbeing and community cohesion”. The 81-year-old comedian has been banned from performing several times before and has been accused of racism. This is despite the posters advertising his performance warning “those easily offended stay away”, discouraging those under the age of 18 from attending and saying “This is an adult comedy and not intended to offend”. Following the decision, the comedian made a statement via social media: “Unfortunately, the Exmouth Pavilion’s new management informed us late Friday night by email that they would be cancelling Roy’s planned performance. “To cut the email short, the explanation on the email was, and I quote one sentence, ‘This show no longer aligns with the organisation’s long-term strategic direction’. “Make of that what you will and I think you can guess what my opinion is, but let’s not go over old ground again. “One thing I will just say, and this is totally my opinion, and you may or may not agree, but as an individual, you have a personal right to decide for yourself. “Wouldn’t the sensible thing, if the new management has an issue for any reason with the Chubby show, have been to honour the contracted booking and let the show go ahead?” He went on to add: “cancelling a show three-and-a-half months before the actual date when fans have bought tickets and probably made travel plans” was “totally the wrong decision”. “I have since talked to one of the theatre management to try and make sense of the situation and, although obvious to say we see it totally differently would be an understatement, sadly the decision will not be reversed”. A counter statement from a spokesperson for LED Community Leisure — which runs the Pavillion — said: “As a public community venue, Exmouth Pavilion exists to promote culture, the arts and freedom of expression. “We recognise that this decision will have caused disappointment and inconvenience for some, and we are sorry for that. “As a charitable operator of public spaces, LED’s role is to carefully balance artistic freedom with our responsibility to promote inclusion, wellbeing and community cohesion.” If the Pavillion really did exist to promote freedom of expression, it wouldn’t cancel performances due to the fact it may offend people. Many Swatch stores across the UK have closed following incidents resulting from huge queues as people try to buy the Royal Pop watches to resell online for many times higher. A video recorded at the Bull Ring shopping area in Birmingham, England captured a moment where an employee, standing by police, announced the store was sold out.

I heard some Islamic countries are criticizing Japan. So let me ask one simple question. If I went to your country and started demanding: “Serve pork in school lunches.” “Let us drink alcohol freely.” “Build crematoriums for Japanese people.” Wouldn’t that make you angry? Of course it would. Every country has its own culture. Its own religion. Its own rules and way of life. Japan is no different. So why do some people demand things in Japan that they would never accept in their own country? I don’t go to Islamic countries, because I know their culture doesn’t fit me. And that’s exactly why I believe people should respect the country they choose to live in. - @tanpukunokami

Another Shinto Shrine has been burned down. This time it was the Urufushine Shrine in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture. This Shinto Shrine was over 1000 years old, survived everything natural disasters, civil wars & even WW ll but it couldn't survive diversity.

🚨 BREAKING!!!!! Keir Starmer just orchestrated the ultimate border scam. He is handing over a staggering £662 MILLION of British taxpayer money to France, claiming it will "stop the boats." The problem? French officials are openly laughing at us, admitting the deal will "not change anything." 🧵👇

The main reason I never wanted to be a SAHM: the women in my family & neighborhood were. And they... never really got time off. After work, the dads would hit the gym or a sport or the bar with their buddies or the TV. The wives would cook & watch the kids. On weekends, the moms would still cook, clean, do laundry, take the kids to extracurriculars (the dads did often join for this at least), run errands, & watch the kids. The dads would golf or fish or play more sports or watch movies. On holidays, the moms would plan & host the events & cook & clean up while the men watched football. It just always seemed like such a raw deal to me. There were exceptions to this rule, but they were *exceptions*. The weird myth was that the men were sparing the women from work, but the exact opposite seemed true: the women worked *more*. They didn't get weekends or holidays off. Even once the kids were in school, most moms I knew volunteered at the kids' schools. And it was so weird when guys joked their wives were balls & chains when the women were chained up harder than the men ever were 🤷🏻‍♀️

US tourist with suspected cancer kicked off plane after showing hospital notes to request upgrade Louise Carpino, 59, from Philadelphia, fell seriously ill with severe bloating while visiting London in March. She was rushed to A&E where scans showed fluid in her abdomen and doctors told her to seek urgent treatment back home. At the airport she showed the hospital notes to cabin crew hoping for a seat upgrade on her flight to Philadelphia. Instead the airline declared her “unfit to fly”, removed her from the plane and refused to refund her ticket. She had to buy a new ticket with a different carrier to get home. Back in the US she was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer that had spread to her intestines. She has now started chemotherapy. A friend’s GoFundMe has raised more than £8,000 to help with her bills. I've included the gofund me below! gofundme.com/f/support-loui…

💔 The Danish delegation adopted the lonely UK contestant — and the Eurovision clip has now gone viral Denmark showed more support for Britain than Eurovision viewers did by inviting British contestant Sam Battle (Look Mum No Computer) to sit at their table while he was sitting alone during the jury voting. The UK ultimately finished last with just 1 point. People online are now joking that Sam is officially Danish.

I hate everything about this picture. Why did the Bettyhave to be in the picture in her pajamas yet again? Why is her hair pulled back but not brushed? Did the Manolo Blahnik really have to be put in front? Lastly, that shapeless lavender coat looks awful on her. That is definitely not her color.
