Very confident in our preparations w\ focus on security and humanitarian needs despite uncertainties in the situation. I personally instructed all agencies concerned to be prepared during our first mtg of the “ad hoc com. on the situation in Myanmar” this morning.

ติดตามสถานการณ์การปะทะกันของกองกำลังฝั่งเมียนมาเมื่อคืนนี้ ตามแนวชายแดนไทย-เมียนมา อย่างใกล้ชิดด้วยความห่วงกังวลครับ หลังจากที่ผมไปลงพื้นที่เมื่อก่อนหน้านี้ ผมขอยืนยันครับว่าไทยมีความพร้อมปกป้องอธิปไตยและบูรณภาพแห่งดินแดนของไทยครับ นอกจากนี้ ขอยืนยันว่าประเทศไทยพร้อมให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านมนุษยธรรมเสมอครับหากมีความจำเป็น Monitoring the situation along the Thai-Myanmar border closely, following reports last night of clashes between armed forces on the Myanmar side. After my visit to Mae Sot recently, I can confirm that Thailand is more than ready to defend against any violation of Thailand’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Thailand remains ready and continues to provide humanitarian assistance to those in need along the border.

ในภารกิจที่ 🇫🇷 วันนี้ ผมยังได้ร่วมการหารือวาระพิเศษกับคณะมนตรี OECD ย้ำความกระตือรือร้นของไทยที่จะเข้าเป็นสมาชิก #OECD ซึ่งจะช่วยสนับสนุนเป้าหมายของไทยที่จะก้าวขึ้นมาเป็นเศรษฐกิจที่พัฒนาแล้วภายในปี 2580 📈 ในขณะเดียวกัน ก็จะช่วยย้ำว่า OECD เป็นเวทีนโยบายระดับโลกที่ครอบคลุมทุกภูมิภาคและมองไปข้างหน้าอย่างแท้จริง เน้นประโยชน์เชิงเศรษฐกิจที่จับต้องได้ สอดคล้องกับนโยบายเศรษฐกิจเชิงรุกของรัฐบาลไทยที่เน้นเตรียมความพร้อมสู่อนาคตครับ My visit to 🇫🇷 continues with the Special Session of the #OECD Council. Took this opportunity to underscore 🇹🇭’s enthusiasm to become an #OECD member, which will support 🇹🇭 in our quest to become an advanced economy by 2037 📈 At the same time, 🇹🇭’s membership will demonstrate that #OECD truly is an inclusive and forward-looking global policy forum with an emphasis on tangible economic benefits, consistent with the 🇹🇭 govt’s proactive economic policy that enhances preparedness for the future.

The road ahead will no doubt be challenging but the mutual benefits are immense and our commitment is sustained, particularly with 🇹🇭 as the only country in the Indo-Pacific with an OECD Country Programme, as well as through our continued support for #OECD’s outreach efforts to Southeast Asia.

ติดตามการโจมตีทางอากาศในตะวันออกกลางเมื่อคืนนี้ ด้วยความกังวลครับ ขอให้ทุกฝ่ายใช้ความอดกลั้นมิให้สถานการณ์เลวร้ายลง ผมประสานสถานทูตของเราในภูมิภาคเพิ่มเติมด้วยแล้วให้พร้อมดำเนินการโดยทันทีหากสถานการณ์แย่ลง ขณะนี้ สถานทูตได้ติดต่อกับชุมชนคนไทยในพื้นที่ต่างๆ แล้วครับเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมให้ความช่วยเหลือหากมีความจำเป็น Following last night’s air attacks in the Middle East with concern, I strongly urge all sides to exercise the utmost restraint to prevent the situation from worsening. I’ve instructed our Embassies in the region to be on high alert in case of a deterioration in the situation and have been informed we are already in touch with the Thai communities there.

Received updates from Tak Governor and local security agencies on the latest situation along the Thai-Myanmar border and preparations to address impacts on Thailand. Have full confidence in readiness of all agencies to protect Thailand’s sovereignty and safety of Thai people. Thailand wishes to see all sides in Myanmar engage in dialogue to reduce violence and impacts on people on both sides of border, and to make Myawaddy a safe area for the people on humanitarian grounds.

My condolences and heartfelt sympathy go out to the families of the victims and those injured and affected by the recent and devastating earthquake in Hualien County of Taiwan, and nearby areas. The Thai people join me in wishing that the rehabilitation and recovery efforts will be swift and that the situation will soon return to normalcy.

Mr. Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC today. We reaffirmed the close and cordial ties between Thailand and China, agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in wide-ranging areas such as trade, investment, future industries, connectivity and tourism and looked forward to commemorating our next milestone of 50 years since the establishment of our diplomatic relations in 2025. This was the first time in 10 years for the PEC to visit Thailand & it could not have happened at a better time. There is a lot of potential for Thailand and the U.S. now, to reap strong, mutual benefits as we look to strengthening trade & investment in key areas and industries, such as the green economy, EVs, clean energy, digital economy, semiconductors, and smart electronics. Had a very useful visit to Toyota Australia to observe hydrogen vehicles – an innovation for which Thailand can become a production hub. Also happy to stop by Melbourne Zoo to see 8 Thai elephants being well-cared for. As for my meeting with Australian FM @SenatorWong, it was a very timely and valuable discussion. Both sides are keen to enhance our Strategic Partnership and advance target industries together. We also shared common views and approaches on a number of pressing regional and international issues.
