@drum980 I run an extra curricular session for Year 11 every week but that's not the point. The point is, what right do Ofsted have to inspect what I do in my spare time?

The elephant in the room is surely whether or not Ofsted can/should inspect something we do in our spare time as unpaid volunteers. Would a school be judged as Causing Concern or Attention Needed if not enough staff volunteer to run enrichments in their spare time?

@DeputyGrocott @pdcornish76 Completely agree but not pushy parents. Taking an interest in learning, reading to and listening to a child read are both important too. The triangular relationship between a child, an adult and the world can’t be overstated.

Is parental support one of the biggest factors in a child’s success at school? Not expensive tutors. Not screens full of “educational apps.” Just: reading with them asking about their day practising times tables showing education matters Agree or disagree?

@DeputyGrocott No. Firstly, it is about how a child learns. Does the school system of learning suit them? Many people are kinesthetic learners so the current system will always fail them, no matter how much parental support they get.

@SkySportsNews I’m a Liverpool fan but a football fan first and foremost. It’s super slow motion and crystal clear and I still can’t make out if he touched it or not. Either way. It doesn’t change the flight of the ball. I don’t want goals ruled out for that. Anymore than for 1mm off side.

@McFlybowy Bruno is a truly world class footballer. There aren’t many around. However we have players who can do a good job at 10. CDM is the top priority along with a left sided forward and a right back. Dalot is dire.

No Manchester United player with 10 league goals this season, it’s actually a thing to worry about, next season they will add more workload, take Bruno Fernandes out of the team and the team crumbles. They need smart recruitment, first a Bruno Fernandes replacement, then followed by a Striker and a solid Midfielder. They’re far from competing more than they think.
