Sometimes at the end of an uneventful #PCNL you dont feel very comfortable seeing this blood jet!! Don’t be worried .. close the skin and most of times this will self limit by tamponade… and if not, only our friends interventional Radiologists can fix it! In this case everything went well and today the lady has been discharged on postop day 2 with Hg loss of 2 points #ETCE

Formerly #HoLEP was considered a slower procedure than #TURP, but with higher enucleation rate in grams/min, with increased experience and pulse modulation, I guess HoLEP/ThuFLEP can be faster even in general terms. Time of enucleation: 14:30 min Time of morcelation: 3:30 min Time of hemostasis: 1:10 min This was a 50g prostate, my opinion, HoLEP can be faster and safer even in small prostates!
