The Libertarian Socialist Caucus seeks to provide a political home within DSA for all socialists opposed to the state. We are a diverse body of anarchists, libertarian Marxists, and members of other tendencies in the left wing of the socialist movement. dsa-lsc.org/lsc-pou

DSA’s recent history is marked by unresolved conflicts—budget crises, rogue officials, Palestine solidarity, and now Trump’s return. But indecision at the 2023 Convention & NPC has left us without clear direction. Our resolutions aim to fix that: dsa-lsc.org/2025/03/24/lsc…

In August 2024, @dsa_lsc published an article titled 'A Letter to the Libertarian Left'. In it the author presents an argument for deploying the strategy and concepts of especifismo to the context of DSA. We offer this reply, welcoming further dialogue. blackrosefed.org/clarifying-esp…

With an influx of new DSA members post election, LSC presents a revised version of Bryce S's "An Introduction to the Internal Politics of DSA". We hope this can be a useful tool for all members to reference as we enter the DSA National Convention season. dsa-lsc.org/2025/01/24/a-g…

At the 2024 YDSA Convention, YDSA's delegates voted to censure DSA-LA endorsed city council member Nithya Raman over her positions on the war in Gaza. Read our statement urging the NCC to stand by the democratic will of its highest voting body: dsa-lsc.org/2025/01/28/lsc…

Rage and Hope is a new essay by LSC member laliberté that asks, "How can folks possibly not care about the unhoused? About Palestine?" It steps through why and offers an understanding of solidarity that centers madness, rage, and hope. buff.ly/4foYtgv

Recently I have been travelling through northern Kurdistan, and have met with Kurdish people from all different kinds of backgrounds. They told countless stories of the current systematic oppression and repression they face – especially from the Turkish state –, as well as a history full of massacres. Destruction and exploitation of the nature – such as unlawful forest cutdowns, sacrificing zones for mining companies and fires – is one of the many tools used as part of the continuous attacks against the Kurds. This often leads to devastation of local communities and biodiversity as well as forced displacement. Erasure of culture and identity, state violence, political prisoners, forced displacement, ecocides and disappearances are just some examples of the discrimination people face on an everyday basis, as well as being denied the right to self determination and freedom. To build genuine bridges of solidarity in Turkey, autonomy and self-governance for Kurdish regions are essential. The Kurdish people deserve the right to shape their own lives, culture, and communities. Turkey must clarify its stance on the Kurds and other minority groups by enshrining their rights in the constitution. The government continues to use “terrorism” as a pretext to silence its political opponents. Tens of thousands of politically active individuals remain imprisoned without fair trials. International organizations such as the ECHR, UN, and Amnesty have condemned this and call for their release. For a sustainable peace and a just future, the Kurds’ right to freedom and autonomy must be respected and the violent attacks against Kurdistan must end. No one is free until everyone is free. Bijî Kurdistan! #bijikurdistan #freekurdistan #climatejusticenow
