The release candidate for MCP 2026-07-28 is out. The protocol is now stateless: no handshake, no session id, any request can hit any server instance. Plus extensions as first-class (MCP Apps, Tasks), auth hardening, and a proper deprecation policy so we don't have to do this again.

I'm so frustrated. I need to be put out to pasture. I just can't do this. None of this makes sense. I don't have control of anything. I don't want fight the whole world. I've done that for so long. At what point do you give up?

@heygurisingh We are trying to listen to the community and move as quickly on improving thing as a protocol and "standard" can do :). I hope people will build stuff that is good for people.

@dsp_ Making MCP stateless is one of those changes that sounds boring until you realize it massively simplifies scaling, reliability, and orchestration for real production agents.

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.

the last blocker for enterprises building on Claude Managed Agents: execution & tools had to stay inside their perimeter. now they do.
the brain stays managed, you spawn the hands. don't fall into the agent-in-a-box trap! it's not secure & doesnt scale
