I accidentally clicked on Active for F&O and I didn’t even want it. Couple of things
1. It should ask for confirmation instead of directly activating it.
2. Allow users to cancel the request if it’s not activated.

@shantanugoel Will wait for larger dataset feedback. I so wanna buy it if it’s really upto the mark and gets the stats right.

I replaced my Apple Watch Ultra with a Google Fitbit air for sleep! And now I'm replacing the ultra with the air for everything while at home except the workouts or going out.
And with data syncing to Apple Health, there's no gap anywhere and bevel calculates my recovery scores too perfectly!
The air has been amazingly accurate with my sleep data while being almost dont-even-know-im-wearing-it feel unlike the ultra!
I tracked it for a week and every day it captured my sleep/wake up and intermittent restlessness pretty accurately.
Will report soon with the full day use info!

@AdityaRajKaul ffs let’s focus on building India better…we have enough issues in India…which we desperately and swiftly need to solve.
English

@rc_nlr @swapnakpanda Absolutely agreed. I am just talking about larger set here. Again, this is from my personal experience. It could vary significantly.
English

@dssagar93 @swapnakpanda #2. Not all of the managers fall in that category. you will find some good ones…
English

@fitoorivakil @swapnakpanda Yes, these are pretentious NRIs who think of themselves as a superior breed than resident Indians just because they made it to the US. They think that H1b means citizenship and they forget very easily that they themselves come from the same land.
English

@dssagar93 @swapnakpanda That's true.
Indian managers working for US firms are the epitome of ass-lickers.

@join2manish @SJTA_Puri @JagannathaDhaam @arunbothra @odisha_tourism Stories of Jagannath Puri always defy some logic or some law. Crazy stuff!!! Jai Jagannath🙏
English

jai jagganath, jai shri krishana ⭕️❗️⭕️
did you know: in the massive kitchen of the shri puri jagannath temple, food is cooked using firewood & 7 earthen pots stacked directly on top of one another
defying standard thermodynamics, the food in the topmost pot cooks first, followed sequentially by the ones below [1,2, 3, 4, 5,6]

@OlituMadoManusa @ind_aero @deedydas It’s everybody’s responsibility to take care of the mother. The burden should be distributed evenly across everyone and sadly that load is put up on the common man’s shoulders.
English

@deedydas Higher IQ demands better quality of life. Seeking a healthy, clean and non-chaotic lifestyle is not a brain drain. In India, they’d end up at the mercy of the politicians and babus.

A single project
Training an LLM from scratch
did two things for me:
- It set me apart from most other candidates
- It let me answer almost every Transformer, LLM, and fine-tuning question with confidence
- Also made me answer RAG based questions more precisely
Most AI/ML interviewers are asking a lot of questions on LLM's
reading or watching videos doesn't help much
Implementing and getting your hands dirty will make you worthy
either follow @karpathy nanochat or @rasbt build a LLM or CS336 for this

@akshaymarch7 I get their 2000 rs quality frames at 300₹. Absolute cheap quality for base ones. The expensive ones are not worth their price. Frames sell at dirt prices if you take from a regular shop.

@Dhanush_Nehru 112. Always give them a call. They come and resolve in 10 mins. Been there done that. They’ll put autowalas in their place.

peak bengaluru moment
booked an auto through ola for a ride that was almost an hour long ... the driver asked for extra money even before the trip started ... i said i will see to it once we reached because i didn't want to argue before the ride
when we finally reached i took out cash to pay the fare ... he refused to accept it and said "am i a beggar" because he wanted upi only ... somehow i ended up being the one saying sorry just to avoid creating a scene
after that attitude i didn't pay the extra amount he had asked for at the start
came back to bengaluru after a long time and this was the first experience i had ... since when did paying in cash become a problem ... and are ola and uber auto drivers even allowed to demand extra money before the ride starts ... genuinely asking

@IndraVahan Wondering how to learn this end-to-end delivery of genai pipeline? Resource to learn?
English

yesterday i got a call from tcs for an ai architect role. they needed someone who could lead end-to-end delivery of genai pipelines across multiple clients in a forward deployment style with 5+ years of experience.
the budget was 25 lpa.
i know for a fact the client billing on this role will be close to 3x that, which lands just a few lakhs short of my own expected comp. and i genuinely think this is exactly why the likes of tcs are going to struggle through the genai wave, especially with google, microsoft and the frontier labs slowly moving into consulting.
the classic dhandho of arbitraging talent and treating engineers like interchangeable resources is just not built for what’s coming.
you want a fairly rare breed of engineer but want to pay what the market pays for far a junior QA, in a market where hands-on ai engineers are probably the hottest commodity in tech.
i genuinely don’t know what they’re competing on anymore. or if they even have it in them to compete

@vartika_debugs But why not him? I loved his videos and was able to finish it off nicely
