i will speak on behalf of my man. It was early days of our dating. I was on meds and was bleeding heavily. I got off from his car and I saw a huge stain on the seat (ps: i took all the precautions I can but still it leaked). I was embarrassed. I said sorry and said let me clean. He said - “no. I will take care of it. Don’t worry”. And he did took care of it. I said sorry many times. He said - “why? ! Neha, this is the part of life. It is just a stain.”

My React Nexus talk was about learnings for working in payments space, but somehow the deck became a story of its own 💛 From rejected ideas and fluffy Puffers to payment buttons, cards, and shields - here’s the behind-the-scenes story of how it all came together. The complete presentation is in there too: dev.to/smilegupta/fro…

Still finding words for @ReactNexus 2026. My goal was simple: show that payments aren’t just a backend problem - they’re equally a frontend engineering challenge. Everything I shared came from years of building in payments at @RazorpayTech and @Wayfair, and learning many lessons the hard way. I’m grateful that the talk landed so well and became one of the most loved presentations of React Nexus 2026. The biggest takeaway wasn’t only from the stage. It was meeting people afterwards who told me they’d been following my journey, enjoyed our JSLovers meetups, or found something I’d shared helpful. And the most special part was meeting women in tech who said something I shared had inspired them in some way. I didn’t realise that. I’ve also had women who inspired me, supported me, and helped me keep going. @hellonehha, you are one of them. Thank you for making this one so special. ❤️

New purchase. Bought “ How to build a spitfire” for hubby. I have to read for him to tell the story. “The midnight train” is from the same author of midnight library. Lady at the bookstore cash counter said - her daughter loved it. “The librarian” - because the bottom line of this book is - how joy of reading can change the life (will see)

I got a question in my DM - “how I knew I was eligible for Global talent visa ?” So, sharing my experience: As per tech nation’s official website I was not as they need endorsement from specific companies. I hired a lawyer (100£) for an hour and she wasted my time and money. She came on the call and said - “if you don’t have the endorsement from tech nation’s companies then you are not eligible .” Hence, i won’t suggest hiring a lawyer. There are lot of Indian agency who spam inbox to take their services (it would be your call. I am not pro these services). So, decided to drop the plan. My husband saw a reel on GTV of an engineer and one of my contact got GTV (they both applied by themselves, had no endorsement from tech nation’s companies) So, I decided to take a risk and apply. It was a financial risk. But I went ahead and reached out to my old contacts for giving me endorsements. I reached out to many people as I knew not all will be ready to give endorsements. I also shared the doc with them and that’s all. I have prepared all docs by myself and it is very straightforward. Now, if you are someone who is looking for GTV then there are LOT of content on yt and tech nation’s companies guide. You can review posts to see what they have done, why got rejected or got it, you can share your profile and ask for feedback too. PS: i missed doing research at my end. I went ahead and applied without checking yt or tech-nation forum. I just went ahead and applied.

@hellonehha I know they tell us not to judge books by their covers, but all these covers are beautiful, and I’m so tempted to pick one of these up now.

tough question. I read the book’s summary at the back of the book. If it is something interest me then I buy it. Also, if a book is award winning like booker etc. then I buy it. (I think it is good to read it such books which won prestigious awards) Sometimes I push myself to read new genre. There was a time I was reading autobiography, then space genre, and so on. Changing genre helps me to explore new interest area. I don’t buy self-help books anymore. PS: i read many self help Books and they are good to start reading habits
