@AshleyGWinter Listen! Do your PT! There are many options to work any given muscle or joint. A good therapist won’t just put you through the wringer, but will work to find a routine that will stick. Absolutely worth it!! Speak up if you don’t like it. They’ll find you something better.

Being a doctor and thus a terrible patient I FINALLY got around to seeing a physical therapist today for the buttocks pain that started nearly a year ago, during my pregnancy. The PT was excellent, and I will probably do none of the assigned exercises.

I’m no longer so confident Twitter/X will survive. I used to be sure because there was no critical mass at any competitor. But so many ppl have left due to Twix’s blunders, and all the competing platforms plan to merge into a “fediverse”, so critical mass seems much closer now.

@peterlblanchard Two questions: 1. Exactly what is the IEDC? It is not a state “agency” like the BMV. Is it a public-private partnership? Sounds like the public pays the bills and the private gets the profits. Can someone lay this out for us?

@astro_jaz I don’t remember the words - hard to understand. My parents took it in stride - imagine what they had seen in their lifetimes: rural electrification, cars, air travel, air conditioning, radio, TV, WW2, nuclear bombs, JFK. They knew the moon landing was historic.

if you lived during the Moon landing in 1969, how did you feel watching it?

@retttx Ugly, but use zip to encode and split the file into 50Gb pieces. I’ve done that before, but not at this scale. Painful, but it works. It could be scripted and automated. Don’t know how much scratch space you would need elsewhere for the split and reassembly. Good luck!
