My statement on Senator Robert Menendez.

Five years ago, I supported Bob Hugin for United States Senate against United States Senator Bob Menendez. With the most recent indictment of Senator Menendez, I made the right choice and he should resign immediately. The people in New Jersey deserve better!

Let’s not forget all of the contributions from the labor movement. Always remember hard work does pay off and you never know who’s watching you. There is always someone watching your actions and this is why it’s important to always strive towards excellence and perfection.

Mental health is real and immediate action should be taken to protect vulnerable residents. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 (3)

This incident is now under investigation by the NJ AG Office and the community is looking forward to hearing the answers of what happened. I urge the Jersey City Municipal Council to fulfill its commitment to bringing a crisis unit into the public safety department. (2)

Dear Jersey City, As Jersey City is my hometown, I can not sit silent while my hometown has made national news for a police involved shooting with a mentally ill resident. My heart and prayers goes out to the family and friends of Andrew Jerome Washington. (1)

Rest in peace, NJ Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver. Throughout all your years serving the people in New Jersey, you were indeed a public servant for the people. You will be deeply missed. I remember when I first met you, your energy and spirits were so welcoming. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
